Secretary of Education conducts technical visit to the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) 5 of Belém
The goal is to strengthen educational management and continue the structural and pedagogical advances in public education in Pará

With the aim of strengthening educational management and continuing the structural and pedagogical advances in public education in Pará, the State Department of Education (Seduc) continues with technical inspections in the Regional Education Directorates (DREs) of Pará.
On this Monday (20), DRE 5 of Belém received a visit from the Secretary of Education, Ricardo Sefer, who toured schools with demands to be addressed along with the management team and teachers. On this occasion, the head of Seduc engaged in dialogue with the school community about the challenges and urgent problems of the 18 schools under the directorate's jurisdiction.

Secretary Ricardo Sefer emphasized that the initiative, in addition to solving problems, aims to bring the current management team closer together. “I have been traveling across the State, visiting the directorates and schools, and more important than just visiting is to listen to the real demands of the school units, bringing us closer to the school community and allowing us to feel the most sensitive demands within each particularity,” pointed out the manager.
During the program, the regional director, Jones Barros, highlighted the presence of the secretary with the local teams.
“The presence of the secretary getting to know our reality, the directorates, and the environment in which we work is of great relevance. We are an extension of Seduc-headquarters. This proximity is very important. I have been in the network for over 20 years and have never received a visit from a secretary here at the DRE. We received him with joy and satisfaction, as this strengthens the work we do daily and recognizes our effort,” he stated.

In total, two thousand students regularly enrolled in the schools of the DRE are served. Out of a total of 40 regional directorates, Seduc has already visited 16.
The State Schools Mário Barbosa, Santos Dumont, and Nuremberg Brito were visited.

The Santos Dumont school offers Elementary Education I and II, serving 627 students. Director Marcos Freitas evaluated the visit as a moment of appreciation for the network.

“The presence of the secretary here is a gesture of recognition. Having the state management's attention focused on our school motivates us to continue seeking improvements. It is an opportunity to show what we have already achieved and also to present our needs,” highlighted the director.
