The municipality of Terra Alta, in northeastern Pará, is another beneficiary of the "Daycare Centers Across Pará" program, an initiative of the State government that reaffirms the commitment to quality early childhood education and comprehensive support for Pará families. The construction of the new unit is in the final stages and was visited on Wednesday (22) by Vice Governor Hana Ghassan.

The construction is being carried out by the State Department of Education (Seduc), with an investment of R$ 3,427,815.85, following the quality standards adopted by the State government, which prioritizes safe, comfortable, and welcoming environments for children's development.

Located in the Vila Getúlio Vargas neighborhood, the unit will serve 200 children aged zero to five years and will include classrooms and multipurpose rooms; a lactation room; a nursery; a breastfeeding room; a changing area; a sports court; a playground; a garden; an outdoor bathing area; an office; coordination; a teachers' room; a kitchen; a pantry; and common areas.

Izalene da Silva Soares lives across from the new daycare and is the mother of two children: Elias, one year and seven months old, and Sara, four years old. She celebrated the arrival of the new space.

“Knowing that both of them will now be able to study across the street makes my mother's heart more at ease. It will be much easier to keep track, pick them up, and know they are in a safe place close to home,” she stated.

With the daycare in Terra Alta, the "Daycare Centers Across Pará" program continues to expand access to early childhood education in all regions of the State, where units have already been delivered in the municipalities of Belém, Ananindeua, Benevides, Oriximiná, Redenção, Cumaru do Norte, Almeirim, Bannach, Melgaço, Curuçá, Marabá, and Igarapé-Açu, benefiting more than two thousand families.

The State government's initiative plans to build 150 units throughout the Pará territory, with an investment exceeding R$ 400 million.
