From December 6 to January 6, Parque da Cidade in Belém will host the Enchanted Christmas. The initiative is a partnership between the Government of Pará and Solar Coca-Cola and will mark the reopening of the space to the public after the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30). The announcement took place on the night of this Thursday (23), at the Government Palace.

“The Enchanted Christmas marks the reopening of Parque da Cidade on December 6. It will be a very special reopening, resulting from the partnership with Solar Coca-Cola. The Park will be fully decorated and will feature an extensive cultural program, so families can fully experience the spirit of Christmas together,” announced the governor of Pará, Helder Barbalho.

The governor also highlighted the importance of the project for the development of the capital of Pará. “It is another moment of consolidation of our tourism, leisure, and capital movement strategy, strengthening the State's tourism capacity in this good moment driven by COP. We will take advantage of the visibility that Pará is having to offer a continuous calendar of cultural activities that strengthen the economy and create opportunities for those who live here,” added Helder Barbalho.

The project will transform Parque da Cidade into a Christmas village, featuring a 20-meter tall tree. The scenery will also include a life-sized illuminated nativity scene, Santa Claus's house, an enchanted forest with LED trees, as well as tunnels and luminous arches that will traverse the walkways.

The programming will feature the arrival of Santa Claus by helicopter and artistic interventions throughout the month. The Park's lake will also gain scenic elements, such as illuminated water lilies, and other areas, such as the Rubber Tree Grove and sports courts, will receive special decorations.

The partnership between the State Government and Solar Coca-Cola aims to promote local culture and tourism during the holiday season.

The CEO of Solar Coca-Cola, André Salles, emphasized the importance of Pará for the company. “This legacy that is Christmas, where Solar Coca-Cola has been involved since its beginnings, has characterized itself as a supporter of this moment of happiness for all. So, this is a great opportunity to, together with the government, provide this Enchanted Christmas for Belém. This is part of a series of investments that Solar has been making in the State. Pará is extremely important to us, where we have two factories, 16 distribution centers, generate 2,000 direct jobs, and serve 40,000 points of sale. Therefore, this integrates a larger investment plan that we want to expand, contributing to the development of the entire region,” he highlighted.

Solar Coca-Cola is one of the largest manufacturers in the Coca-Cola System worldwide and has 13 factories spread across Brazil. With about 120 distribution centers, both owned and outsourced, the company operates in about 70% of the national territory, working in the North, Northeast, and part of the Midwest regions.

In addition to the action at Parque da Cidade, the traditional Illuminated Christmas Caravans will be held in Belém, Ananindeua, Marituba, Santa Izabel, and Benevides, with dates to be announced soon.

“I thought it was an excellent idea and I was very excited because I love Christmas, just like many people who will surely be thrilled. Parque da Cidade has already been a great success simply by opening and being a leisure space, and with the partnership of Coca-Cola, which is so well-known worldwide for this trademark of Christmas, it will be a tremendous success. I will definitely be there with my family,” said law graduate Patrícia Santos, who attended the ceremony.

The event featured a performance by the Madrigal Choir, an extension project of the State University of Pará (Uepa), which enchanted the audience with classic Christmas songs and Pará's brega music.
