Women’s Truck performs over 7,500 services during the "For All of Them" actions
More than three thousand specialized consultations in gynecology and mastology were conducted in six municipalities in Pará
More than 7,500 services have already been provided by the Women’s Truck since the beginning of April this year, during the 27 actions of the state program “For All of Them,” promoted by the government of Pará. The two mobile health units traveled through the municipalities of Belém, Ananindeua, Marabá, Igarapé-Miri, Canaã dos Carajás, and Parauapebas, providing free specialized consultations and exams for women of all ages.
Specialized care and immediate results
Coordinator of the Health for All Pará program, from the State Department of Public Health (Sespa), Marilda Braga explained that the initiative ensures access to essential diagnostic and preventive services.
“At the Women’s Truck, we perform procedures such as consultations with mastologists, gynecologists, mammograms, and gynecological ultrasounds, including breast, thyroid, axilla, total abdomen, urinary tract, and transvaginal. The results are delivered on the spot, and if the patient requires any type of procedure, she is referred to the Women’s Hospital,” she detailed.
Between April and October of this year, 1,934 gynecology services, 1,109 mastology services, 2,417 ultrasounds, 2,060 mammograms, and 129 preventive exams for cervical cancer (PCCU) were performed.
Direct impact on women's lives
A resident of Soure, Aurilene Santos was one of the beneficiaries of the action during the “For All of Them” program at the Usina da Paz do Bengui in Belém. After a consultation with the gynecologist, she was referred for a surgical procedure.
“I was referred to the Women’s Hospital and I am hospitalized to undergo the procedure. All the care I received since the action was very good. I can only be grateful because we know how expensive this service would be privately, and we wouldn’t be able to afford it. This action means more quality of life and health for women, including those from the interior of the State,” she shared emotionally.
Commitment to care and citizenship
For the State Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, the Women’s Truck plays a fundamental role within the program.
“The Women’s Truck has been an essential instrument in the citizenship actions of the program For All of Them. Wherever it goes, it brings care, attention, and support to the women of Pará, ensuring access to health services, prevention, and guidance. This is an initiative that reinforces the State Government's commitment to being increasingly close to the population, especially to the women who most need this attention and respect,” she emphasized.
