Man arrested in flagrante by the Civil Police for possession of child pornography
During the searches at the suspect's residence, located in the Pedreira neighborhood, the police seized two personal cell phones belonging to the man. Both contained extensive audiovisual material of child pornography.
On this Friday (24), the team of civil police from the Specialized Police Station for the Care of Children and Adolescents (DEACA) of Santa Casa, linked to the Directorate for the Care of Vulnerable Groups (DAV), executed a preventive arrest warrant and another for search and seizure against a suspect for possession and sharing of child pornography, sexual harassment, rape of a vulnerable person, and providing alcohol to a minor.
During the searches at the man's house, the police seized two cell phones used by him, which contained extensive audiovisual material of child pornography. "As soon as the warrants were issued, we went to the suspect's house to comply with the court orders. There is an ongoing police inquiry against him investigating several sexual crimes committed against a minor since the victim was 13 years old," explained delegate Luciana Tunes, responsible for the investigation.
Understand the case - During the investigation, it was proven that the man had been in contact with a minor since the age of 13. When the victim turned 15, the individual provided alcohol, leaving the minor intoxicated, at which point he fell asleep and woke up with the individual sexually abusing him. "The victim could not resist the act. Days later, the abuser began to demand the sending of intimate videos, otherwise, he would tell what happened to his acquaintances," continued the delegate.
Another 16-year-old minor, who is a friend of the victim, was also sexually abused by the man. "In light of these facts, the police authority overseeing the inquiry requested the preventive arrest and search and seizure of the aggressor's cell phones, which were executed this afternoon and resulted in his arrest in flagrante delicto, as the mobile devices were filled with videos of child and adolescent pornography," said Danielle Ambrósio, head of DEACA Santa Casa.
After the arrest, the individual was taken to the specialized police station, underwent the necessary procedures, and is at the disposal of the Judiciary. The cell phones were seized and will undergo forensic examination to identify other possible victims.
"We emphasize that any and all crimes against children and adolescents must be reported so that criminals are held accountable for their actions. Any information can be reported anonymously and free of charge through the Disque-Denúncia, at the number 181 and through the virtual assistant 'Iara', via WhatsApp (91) 98115-9181," concluded the director of DEACA Santa Casa.
