State early childhood education in the northeast gains strength with the delivery of a daycare by the State
The educational unit is the 13th daycare delivered by the Government and will benefit 200 families in the municipality of Magalhães Barata
To strengthen early childhood education in northeastern Pará, the State Government, through the State Department of Education (Seduc), delivered another unit of the "Daycares Throughout Pará" Program.
The delivery of the "Professor Aguinaldo Bentes do Rosário" unit took place on the morning of this Wednesday (29), in the municipality of Magalhães Barata, benefiting 200 families with a new space for learning, care, and support for children aged 0 to 5 years.
Governor Helder Barbalho highlighted the importance of investing in early childhood as a foundation for social and educational development in Pará. "We have arrived in Magalhães Barata to deliver another daycare," he emphasized.
"The Cresce por Todo Pará program is increasingly expanding its presence, ensuring quality early childhood education to care for our children, allowing families to leave their children in a safe place while they seek their livelihood, family support. And here, in Magalhães Barata, in this facility, together with the city hall, we will be serving 200 children aged 0 to 5 years, to have a dignified school, a quality school, with prepared teachers to take good care of our children."
Vice Governor Hana Ghassan also emphasized that early childhood education is a commitment of the State. "I want to thank everyone who contributed to us being here today, delivering another daycare from the Daycares Throughout Pará Program. In every corner of this State, a daycare from the program is being built. This is the 13th delivered by the State Government. And today, the daycare belongs to the families of Magalhães Barata. A child's place is in daycare. A child's place is in school. And we, more than just talking, we make it happen."
With an investment of R$ 3,244,381.73, the new daycare was built with a modern and accessible structure, ensuring comfort and safety for children and education professionals. The space includes 9 classrooms, a lactation room, a multipurpose room, a nursery with a breastfeeding room, bathrooms and changing tables, an office, a teachers' room, a common area with a playground, a pantry and kitchen, a play area, a storage room, a garden, a service area, and an outdoor shower.
Representing Seduc, the Deputy Secretary of Network Management and Collaboration Regime (Sarc), Diego Maia, emphasized that the program transforms the reality of early childhood education in the State. "These spaces provide integral development for children, stimulate socialization and learning from an early age, in addition to promoting peace of mind for families. The daycares also represent the appreciation of educators and the strengthening of public policies for early childhood."
In addition to the pedagogical benefits, the delivery of the daycare represents a better quality of life for families, safety for children, and job and income opportunities for mothers and fathers who previously had nowhere to leave their children.
For Taianara Ribeiro, mother of Louise Ribeiro, 3 years old, and an entrepreneur in the confectionery field, the new unit transforms the community's routine. "It is a great joy for our municipality. Before, the children studied in an improvised space. Now we have a spacious, safe, and quality daycare. This changes the lives of our children and also ours, because I can work peacefully knowing that my daughter is well cared for."
Resident Mila Ferreira, mother of Guilherme, 3 years old, also emphasized the feeling of safety and the pedagogical importance of the new daycare. "I always had difficulty leaving my son at daycare due to lack of structure and safety. Now I know he will be in a welcoming environment, with prepared professionals. He will learn more, develop better, and have a better start in life with more opportunities."
