Codec aligns actions to strengthen industrial development in Marabá
Meeting in the municipality advanced the discussion of measures for the Industrial District and planning for expansion and attraction of investments
The construction of an integrated strategy for the economic development of Marabá gained a new chapter this Wednesday (29), during a meeting between the Pará Economic Development Company (Codec) and the City Council. The meeting addressed central agendas: the future of phase 2 of the Industrial District, the reinforcement of actions to modernize, and the expansion of the city's industrial capacity.
“The approach with municipalities is strategic. Our role is to support agendas that generate jobs, income, and expand the productive base of the State. Marabá is a priority within the industrial development plan of Pará,” said Codec president, Lutfala Bitar. Technical director Ruy Klautau also participated in the meeting.
First agenda: phase 2 of the Industrial District
Opening the meeting, the Legislative requested information about phase 2 of the Industrial District, a strategic area for future industrial installations that currently has irregular occupancy.
Director Ruy Klautau detailed the scenario and reinforced that the Company's goal is to ensure responsible solutions, respecting the people who live in the area while ensuring that Marabá can count on this structured area to receive new industries in the future.
“Phase 2 is fundamental for the industrial expansion of Marabá. It is important to protect this area to ensure that the city has the capacity to attract large enterprises, generating jobs and income for the population,” Klautau emphasized.
The councilors reinforced the importance of addressing the topic with social attention and planning, seeking alternatives that meet the families while simultaneously ensuring the industrial vocation of the space.
Infrastructure and revitalization of phase 1
The meeting also discussed improvements in the Industrial District phase 1, which already has installed companies. Codec presented the diagnosis of the internal roads, which total about 29 kilometers, and debated emergency actions for maintaining trafficability while planning the complete revitalization.
The team conducted a technical inspection of the internal areas, monitoring structural demands and reinforcing the Company's oversight in the municipality.
Director Ruy Klautau presented measures to strengthen the local business environment, including updating the Investor's Guide, holding an Economic Development Seminar, and supporting the formation of a municipal team dedicated to prospecting new enterprises.
At the end of the meeting, Codec and the City Council confirmed the continuation of work agendas to ensure the responsible industrial expansion of Marabá.
