The Government of Pará, through the Economic Development Company (Codec), reinforced its strategic position in the national business landscape by participating in one of the main fairs of Brazil's productive sector. During the event, the company's technical team conducted 41 qualified approaches with national and international companies, resulting in the identification of three potential industrial projects with real interest in implementation in the State.

The negotiations involved sectors such as logistics, industrial technology, mining, fertilizers, energy, and production support services. All discussions are aligned with the state government's strategy to promote economic development focused on productive diversification, innovation, and sustainability.

Investments focused on innovation and sustainability

According to Sabrina Sena, manager of Investment Attraction and New Business at Codec, the mission had a structured and strategic character. “We spoke with several companies, exchanged information in real-time, and presented Pará clearly, consistently, and with a vision for the future. In a single mission, we managed to advance three companies from the initial stage to concrete negotiations. This demonstrates maturity in our actions and a market attentive to the opportunities in the State,” she highlighted.

One of the companies has already expressed interest in visiting Pará in January 2025. Another has initiated the process of requesting technical data to deepen studies with a projection for implementation throughout the next year.

“Institutional presence makes a difference. We build trust, demonstrate preparedness, and open agendas that tend to yield good results. The reception was very positive and reinforces that Pará is on the radar of strategic decisions in the productive sector,” the manager added.

Logistics, energy, and environmental responsibility in the spotlight

Codec's mission also expanded technical-institutional dialogue. Environmental engineer Amanda Karoline Santos participated in panels on licensing, innovation, industrial transition, and sustainability. For her, participation directly contributes to enhancing the State's technical performance. “It is an opportunity to understand trends and strengthen the quality of work done in Pará, focusing on supporting investments responsibly,” she assessed.

Another highlight of the State's participation was Pará's logistical and energy positioning. According to Eduardo Henrique, manager of Foreign Trade at Codec, the Pará differential is evident. “We showed companies a prepared State, with clean energy, strategic location, and efficient logistical routes capable of integrating production, distribution, and export. The fair reinforced the perception that Pará offers competitive conditions for new enterprises and is ready to receive projects that generate jobs and innovation,” he stated.

Expansion prospects and next steps

Codec's agenda at the event also included an institutional visit to FERTIMAXI, a national reference in the NPK fertilizer segment, which is evaluating the possibility of expansion to Pará. The company identified strategic advantages in the State for logistical and distribution operations, especially given the growing demand from the agro-industrial sector in the North region.

With the results of the mission, Codec now begins the technical deepening phase with interested companies through meetings, visits, and information sharing. The expectation is to consolidate new investments throughout 2025, reinforcing Pará's role as a competitive and sustainable destination for medium and large industrial businesses.
