The State Secretary of Public Health, Ivete Gadelha Vaz, representing the Governor of the State of Pará, Helder Barbalho, and the Secretary of Administrative Management of Sespa, Edney Pereira, participated on Thursday (6) in an institutional visit to the Francisco Perez Institute Hospital – Pobres Servos da Divina Providência (PSDP), located on João Paulo II Avenue in Marituba. The visit aimed to get to know the facilities, the services offered, the new technological park, and the activities developed by the Congregation of the Pobres Servos da Divina Providência, which maintains the hospital in partnership with the government of the State of Pará, through an agreement signed with the State Secretary of Public Health (Sespa).

The Divina Providência hospital received two important Italian delegations on this occasion. The first, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy, Deputy Antonio Tajani, included ten diplomats, the Italian ambassador to Brazil, Alessandro Cortese, and eight Italian journalists. The second was the delegation of the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, accompanied by Cardinal Giambattista Diquattro, Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil; by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Belém, Dom Júlio Endi Akamine; and by Dom Paolo Andreoli, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Belém. Other authorities also participated in the event.

During the program, the visitors were welcomed by Father João Pilotti, the hospital's technical director, Dr. Max Danielton, and the logistics support coordinator, Dr. Terezinha de Jesus Botelho de Araújo. The guided tour covered various sectors of the hospital, concluding in the Chapel, a symbolic space that reinforces the institution's commitment to faith, solidarity, and comprehensive care for the human being.

On this occasion, the docufilm "Leaving No One Behind" was shown, depicting the activities carried out by the Calabrian mission in Marituba and Belém, highlighting the social and health work performed by the Congregation of the Pobres Servos da Divina Providência. During the speeches, the importance of the partnership between the government of Pará and the Italian institutions was emphasized, which are fundamental for strengthening the hospital care network and expanding services that benefit the population of Marituba and other 115 municipalities in Pará.
Secretary Ivete Vaz highlighted the relevance of joint work and the international recognition of the health actions developed in the State.

"The Francisco Perez Institute Hospital represents an example of dedication and solidarity. It is very important for the government of Pará to closely know initiatives that unite technology, faith, and social commitment, ensuring quality assistance to the population. Governor Helder Barbalho has a keen and sensitive eye for this type of work, which complements the State's effort to expand access to health throughout Pará," said Ivete Vaz.
