Segup coordinates security actions in the Enem Operation in 89 municipalities
More than 4,000 public security agents are on standby for the escort and distribution of the exam papers, under the coordination of the Security Secretariat.
The Enem Operation 2025 will be launched in two phases, mobilizing more than 4,000 public security agents involved in the escort and logistics of distributing the National High School Exam (ENEM) papers, under the coordination of the Public Security and Social Defense Secretariat of Pará (Segup), in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), for the conduct of the exam in 89 municipalities in Pará.
This year, due to the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30) taking place in Belém, the exams will be held in two periods in Pará. The first will occur on November 9 and 16 in 86 municipalities in the interior. In the municipalities of Belém, Ananindeua, and Marituba, the exam will take place on November 30 and December 7.
Pará ranks 5th in the number of registered candidates by Federation Unit, with 229,181 candidates expected to take the Enem 2025 in the 89 municipalities of Pará, according to data from the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP).
The gates for the exam will open at 12 PM and close at 1 PM. Security activities will begin at 6 AM on the days corresponding to the exam. Initially, the work involves the logistics of escorting the exam papers carried out by the Military Police of Pará.
The PM monitors the movement of the exam packages to the locations where they will be applied. The escorts of the exam packages will be distributed to 86 municipalities in Pará, both by land and by air and river routes. In this first phase, the activities will involve 4,115 security agents, 430 four-wheeled vehicles, and 12 motorcycles.
“The Enem operation is one of the largest security operations of the Public Security System of Pará, bringing together various agencies from the state, federal, and municipal spheres so that the exam can be conducted with total integration of the involved agencies and the guarantee of safety for all who will take the exam. We work in an integrated manner, within a strategic planning framework so that even the escort of these papers can occur with all the necessary security and arrive as planned at each exam location. Additionally, we deploy our personnel for patrols on roads near the exam locations so that everyone can take the exam with peace of mind and order,” explained the Secretary of Public Security and Social Defense, Ualame Machado.
Integrated Regional Centers – Integrating security and monitoring actions, one of the public security strategies to monitor the escorts and distribution of the Enem papers is carried out through the Integrated Regional Command and Control Centers (CICCR). 14 municipalities will have the Centers, including Marabá, Capanema, Castanhal, Soure, Breves, Paragominas, Tucuruí, Redenção, São Félix Xingu, Santarém, Itaituba, Abaetetuba, Altamira, and Parauapebas.
All units will be coordinated by the State Integrated Command and Control Center, which during this first exam application period, November 9 and 16, will be activated in the Civil Defense situation room of the Military Fire Brigade, to monitor the 86 municipalities distributed across the 14 integration regions of the state’s interior. State-level monitoring will be conducted at this location.
The Centers will bring together representatives from security forces at the state, municipal, and federal levels, as well as from agencies directly involved in conducting the exam, in order to expedite and facilitate greater integration and communication. Information regarding the transport of the exam papers, as well as the start and completion of the exam application, will be relayed to the National Integrated Command and Control Center in the Federal District (DF) via the Córtex System.
Video Monitoring - On the day of the exam, the movement at the exam locations will be monitored by security cameras installed throughout the state, in addition to public security totems. The images are monitored via the Integrated Command and Control Center and the Integrated Operations Center (CIOp -190), the latter will also ensure reinforcement for responding to urgent and emergency calls. The operation is expected to conclude by 11 PM, when the exam papers are collected and redirected to the central locations, from where they will be sent to the correction site in the state of São Paulo.
Integration - Security actions are developed in an integrated manner by representatives of Segup through the Air and River Security Groups, Integrated Operations Center, Civil, Military, and Scientific Police, State Traffic Department (Detran), Municipal Guards, municipal traffic agencies, as well as the State Department of Education (Seduc), Postal Service, Army, Equatorial (electricity concessionaire), and the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), which conducts the exam.
