Nine people are arrested by the Civil Police for involvement with criminal factions
The arrests were made during this week and all those investigated hold positions of extreme relevance in the criminal group
During the days of November 3rd to 7th, the Civil Police of the State of Pará carried out an operation to execute preventive arrest warrants issued by the judiciary against nine people for involvement with criminal factions. The police action took place jointly between the Department for the Repression of Criminal Factions (DRFC), the Homicide Division (DH), the Integrated Force to Combat Organized Crime of Pará (FICCO/PA) - composed of the PCPA, Federal Police, and the Penitentiary Administration Secretariat - and the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (Gaeco), linked to the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Pará (MPPA).
“The two targets arrested by FICCO/PA, located in Curuçá and Goiânia, hold the position of 'mission designers' and are responsible for attacks against the lives of public security agents. The DRFC teams arrested two men, one in Belém and another in Anápolis (GO), and the DH team arrested one suspect in Cachoeira do Arari, all members of a criminal faction,” explained the deputy general delegate of the PCPA, Temmer Khayat.
The Police Intelligence Center (NIP) of the PC also acted in the operations providing advisory and assistance to the operation, through analysis and location for the arrest of the targets.
The four targets arrested by the NIP teams, after investigations and judicial representations from Gaeco, were located in Belém, in Santa Izabel do Pará, in Gama (DF), and in Brejaru (SC), and hold the positions of 'tower', 'rotating advisor', 'general advisor', and 'mission advisor', respectively. All of them are part of the upper echelons of the criminal organization and are part of the mission command, which is responsible for organizing, ordering, and executing attacks on members of public security forces. Over the months, Gaeco investigated and identified these individuals who, this week, were found and arrested by the intelligence sector of the Civil Police,” said Gaeco prosecutor Danyllo Maués.
The man who was arrested in Santa Catarina was also already under investigation by the teams for ordering graffiti on walls in various locations. “One of the first points to be graffitied was in the Cabanagem neighborhood and the order came from Santa Catarina. At the time, the image of this location had a great impact. Many of those arrested by the agents also ordered extortion from merchants. Therefore, the fight against these criminal groups is permanent and systematic, it will not cease and is connected to arrests made last week and also to the operation that took place in Rio de Janeiro,” concluded the delegate.
All those arrested were taken to the police stations corresponding to the cities where they were located, went through the applicable legal procedures, and are at the disposal of the judiciary.
