Sefa seizes clothes, toys, and wood
Seizures occurred on the 10th and 11th, in the Integration Regions of Carajás, Caetés, and Tapajós
At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), in the southeast of the State, R$ 57,080.88 in various goods were seized on Tuesday (11), including six bales of clothing and 13 boxes of toys, which were being transported from Cuiabá/MT to the State of Pará.
The seizure occurred at the fiscal post at KM 9 of the Transamazon Highway, in Marabá. “During the approach, the driver did not obey the mandatory stop signal of the inspection unit, requiring a chase and intervention by the Military Police for the vehicle to be intercepted and return to the fiscal post,” reported coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.
After checking the cargo, it was found that the goods did not have valid fiscal documentation, in violation of current legislation.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 19,007.93, charging ICMS and a fine.
Chairs – At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, 320 school chairs valued at R$ 51,200.00 were also seized on Tuesday.
“The inspectors identified an irregular operation involving 320 refurbished chairs, which were being transported from João Pessoa (PB) to Belém (PA). The fiscal documentation indicated it was a simple transfer, but it was found that the sender and recipient were different companies. This difference in ownership constitutes a commercial operation, subject to ICMS taxation,” explained coordinator Gustavo Bozola.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued, with tax and fine, totaling R$ 15,564.80.
Wood - Action carried out by the Brazilian Navy on 11/10, in the river area of Belém, resulted in the seizure of 34 m³ of sawn wood, without fiscal documentation and forest guide.
“During the patrol, a ferry boat was approached, and the wood cargo was detected. A Police Report from the River Police Station was made, and the Coordination of Control of Goods of Tapajós was notified by the Navy,” explained coordinator Roberto Mota.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued in the amount of R$ 13,107.58, and the goods were seized at the base of the Public Security River Group (Gflu), linked to the Pará State Department of Public Security and Social Defense (Segup), in Belém.
