State and City Hall of Irituia Align Planning to Foster Economy
Codec presented to the municipal public authorities proactive actions, which include holding a seminar, investor guide, public policies, and technical training
The Economic Development Company of Pará (Codec) held an online technical meeting on Wednesday (12) with representatives from the City Hall of Irituia, a municipality in northeastern Pará, to propose the joint execution of the Local Economic Development Induction Program. The work began with the planning stage, which will guide joint actions aimed at improving the business environment and strengthening local productive activities.
The agenda was led by Codec's Relations and Strategy advisor, Evandro Diniz, and the manager of New Business Services, Sabrina Sena, with the presence of the vice-mayor Gleice Antônio Almeida; the municipal finance secretary, Bento Vitório dos Reis Filho; and the municipal attorney general, Igor Cotta.
During the meeting, Codec presented the execution schedule of the work stages, which includes three main phases: the Economic Development Seminar of Irituia, the preparation of the Investor Guide, and technical training in business attraction and investments.
“Codec's work is done in partnership with city halls, in a process of joint construction. Our role is to create conditions for each city to develop its potential, attracting companies and strengthening productive chains,” informed Evandro Diniz.
Guidance - Manager Sabrina Sena emphasized that the method applied by Codec is strategic and formative. “The first step is self-knowledge, understanding local strengths and weaknesses, to turn them into opportunities. Codec guides how to explore these points and overcome bottlenecks. After the seminar and the preparation of the Investor Guide, we conduct technical training, a workshop that teaches practically how to plan, dialogue, and negotiate with investors,” explained the manager, adding that “the most important thing is the commitment of the municipal management. This synergy between Irituia and Codec will pave the way for a future of great opportunities.”
The vice-mayor Gleice Antônio stated that the municipality is experiencing a new phase of growth, and Codec's presence reinforces this moment of transformation. “For many years, Irituia was forgotten, but now we are living in new times. The City Hall is investing in infrastructure, sanitation, and the recovery of rural roads, creating conditions for companies to settle and thrive. The seminar will be essential for us to define priorities and consolidate this new cycle of development,” he affirmed.
The attorney general Igor Cotta emphasized the importance of cooperation with the State. “We thank Codec for their availability and commitment. This meeting strengthens institutional dialogue and shows that we are on the right path. We are available to collaborate in the next stages,” he assured.
“For a long time, the municipality lost the confidence of investors and even local commerce. The approach with Codec is essential to regain this credibility and show that Irituia is ready to grow again. We have our team available to continue working together,” reinforced the finance secretary Bento Vitório dos Reis Filho.
The next step will be the holding of the Economic Development Seminar of Irituia, which will bring together representatives from the public authorities, the productive sector, and partner institutions to discuss local vocations and attract new investments to the region.
