The Usina da Paz in the Guamá neighborhood of Belém received a day of health and assistance services this Tuesday (18), through another Civic-Social Action (Aciso) promoted by the Brazilian Armed Forces, in partnership with the State Government, through the Secretariats of Citizenship Articulation (Seac) and Public Health (Sespa).

During the program, which gathered a large audience throughout the morning and afternoon, medical and dental services, lectures with psychologists and social workers, cultural presentations, as well as services and guidance on military services, such as enlistment, regularization, and entry into the military career, among others, were offered to the neighborhood residents.

“Today we are here at the Usina da Paz to offer free services to citizens. This is a project that we have been carrying out since August and has already passed through cities like Abaetetuba, Primavera, and Belém. Being able to count on the structure of the Usina da Paz makes the logistics of this operation easier for us,” highlighted Colonel Marcus Vinícius, representative of the Brazilian Army and one of the coordinators of the action.

For the residents of Guamá, the initiative was yet another excellent opportunity to ensure health services within the Usina da Paz. Retiree Laira Cardoso accompanied her granddaughter Dafne Eduarda to the dentist appointment. “For us, here from the neighborhood, these actions are wonderful, as they facilitate our access to services. Some time ago I was trying to get this service and today, thank God, I succeeded,” said the resident.

The Secretary of Citizenship Articulation, Elieth Braga, emphasized the importance of the partnership between the State Government and the Armed Forces to expand the population's access to essential services. “The Usina da Paz is a space designed to welcome and strengthen communities. Receiving actions like this reinforces our commitment to bring public services closer to families that need them the most. It is gratifying to see Guamá fully served and actively participating in initiatives like this,” pointed out the manager.
