During the COP30 program, the Government of Pará presented, last Monday (17), the panel "Amazon that Accelerates: Restoration and Bioeconomy Businesses for the Future of Pará," held in the Green Zone, in the Pará Pavilion, room Miritizeiro. The meeting brought together experts, entrepreneurs, and public managers to discuss the expansion of businesses related to restoration and the strengthening of the bioeconomy as a development strategy for the State.

Representing Semas, panelist Indara Aguilar, director of Climate Change, emphasized that Pará is experiencing a new moment, marked by the integration of public policies, innovation, and investments aimed at forest recovery. According to her, "initiatives such as the Restoration Business Accelerator and the AcelerAmazônia platform consolidate the State as a national reference in building a low-carbon economy."

Restoration as an economic engine - During the panel, Indara emphasized that Pará has set a goal to restore 7.2 million hectares of native vegetation, which opens doors to an expanding market, driven by national and international demand for sustainable products and services. She highlighted that this scenario involves associations, cooperatives, community nurseries, youth, rural women, and environmental service providers, all protagonists in building a new green economy in the State.

"When we talk about restoration in Pará, we are not just talking about recovering the forest; we are talking about generating income, creating green jobs, and strengthening entire communities," Indara stated.

The movement to expand restoration businesses requires more structure, training, access to credit, regularization, and market strategies capable of boosting those already working in the field.

Restoration Business Accelerator: a hub to transform ideas into impact

The Restoration Business Accelerator was presented as a hub of connections that integrates public policies, entrepreneurs, and investors with the aim of boosting productive restoration and strengthening the Pará bioeconomy.

Indara explained that the initiative "was born to strengthen those who make restoration happen, offering training, mentoring, and support for regularization. Creating a showcase of businesses with open doors to national and international markets."

AcelerAmazônia: technology to connect businesses and communities

AcelerAmazônia is the public digital platform created by Semas to map businesses, connect entrepreneurs, provide data, indicators, and training tools, as well as facilitate access to calls for proposals and investments.

"AcelerAmazônia will be the bridge between those who produce, those who invest, and those who transform the reality of the forest. It is a platform designed to boost the restoration chain with innovation, transparency, and social participation," the director stated.

The system integrates the Native Vegetation Recovery Plan of Pará (PRVN-PA), part of the State Policy on Climate Change, and has a direct focus on transforming restoration into economic and social opportunity.

The State has been working to stimulate public and private investments, support local communities, and strengthen the production of native inputs and seedlings, consolidating restoration as a strategic axis of Pará's new green economy.
