Treasury Department (Sefa) seizes machine parts valued at R$ 110 thousand
The goods were seized at the São Geraldo do Araguaia tax post during the inspection of a truck that left Catanduva (SP) for Marabá
The inspection carried out by state revenue inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Carajás, southeastern Pará, on Monday (24), resulted in the seizure of 68 volumes of parts and components for heavy machinery, valued at R$ 110,990.68.
The seizure occurred at the São Geraldo do Araguaia tax post when a truck transporting goods from the municipality of Catanduva/SP, destined for the municipality of Marabá/PA, was stopped.
“After the document analysis and consultations with the electronic tax document control systems and Sefa's state registration, it was found that the sender of the goods failed to collect the ICMS corresponding to the Differential of rates (Difal), related to the interstate operation, which was intended for the final consumer established in the State of Pará, as determined by current legislation,” informed coordinator Cicinato Oliveira.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 21,596.76, charging tax and fine, which was collected and the goods released.
