Government of Pará promotes 1st edition of Nocaute 2025 with muay thai and boxing matches
Free event will be held this Sunday (30) at Arena Guilherme Paraense, with participation of 400 athletes and encouragement of combat sports in the State
The Government of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Sports and Leisure (Seel), will hold this Sunday (30), starting at 9 am, the first edition of Nocaute 2025, a sports event focused on the modalities of muay thai and boxing. The program will take place at Arena Guilherme Paraense (Mangueirinho), in Belém, with free access open to the public of all ages.
The initiative aims to promote combat sports in the State, fostering integration, leisure, and social inclusion. The event will feature the participation of around 400 athletes, including fighters, graduates, and participants in group classes.
Diverse programming
The activities will begin in the morning, with the concentration of athletes, graduation from 2nd to 10th Khan, the traditional Kuen Kru Ceremony – 1st Khan, and an open boxing class for the public.
At 3 pm, the muay thai matches will begin, in the following categories:
- Children: up to 50 kg (10 to 14 years)
- Adult female: up to 67 kg (18 to 40 years)
- Adult male: up to 75 kg (18 to 40 years)
- At 5 pm, it will be time for the boxing matches, with the following categories:
- Children: up to 50 kg (13 to 14 years)
- Youth: up to 80 kg (15 to 17 years)
- Adult: up to 66 kg (18 to 40 years)
The main card will feature the contest for two belts, one for each modality, totaling 10 matches, with five muay thai and five boxing.
Valuing sports
According to the State Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Cássio Andrade, Nocaute 2025 reaffirms the Government of Pará's policy of promoting sports as a tool for social transformation.
“Our goal is to promote leisure, integration, and inclusion, ensuring a safe environment for sports practice. We are working to provide opportunities that contribute to the physical, mental, and social well-being of the people of Pará,” highlighted the head of Seel.
The event is in partnership with the Pará Muay Thai Federation and the Pará Boxing Federation, strengthening the joint action of the State with sports entities in training athletes and expanding access to the modalities.
