Sefa seizes cattle and cocoa in Araguaia
The 100 heads of cattle were valued at R$ 200,000. The inspectors also seized 7,400 cocoa beans valued at over R$ 207,000
During an inspection carried out on Tuesday (25) by inspectors assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Araguaia, from the State Department of Finance of Pará (Sefa), 100 heads of cattle valued at R$ 200,000 were seized. The seizure took place at the São José (Pontão) tax post, located in Vila São José, in the municipality of Xinguara, southeast of the State.
“After the document analysis, it was found that the information was incorrect regarding the sender, as the goods left Manaíra (Paraíba) destined for a rural producer in São Félix do Xingu (Pará),” explained coordinator Luís Renato Couto.
A Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 18,000, referring to the tax and fine, which was paid and the goods released.
Cocoa – On the same day at the Araguaia tax unit, on the PA-447 highway, km 15, in Conceição do Araguaia, 7,400 kg of cocoa beans valued at R$ 207,200 were seized. The goods left Curionópolis-PA destined for a company in São Gonçalo do Rio Abaixo-MG.
“The driver presented a fiscal document and the team consulted the electronic invoice system, noticing that the sender did not collect the advance ICMS tax due on exit,” Couto informed.
A TAD was drawn up in the amount of R$ 34,809.60, referring to the tax and fine.
