Families in Benevides receive housing assistance from the Sua Casa Program
The benefits of the public policy of the Government of Pará have reached more than 236 families, who will now have resources to invest in improving their homes
Governor Helder Barbalho and the president of the Housing Company of the State of Pará (Cohab), Manoel Pioneiro, delivered, this Wednesday (26), benefits from the Housing Program "Sua Casa" to 236 families in Benevides, a municipality in the Metropolitan Region of Belém. "I want to thank the Cohab team, on behalf of Manoel Pioneiro, for the work of delivering the benefit, and congratulate the people who are receiving 'Sua Casa' today, because with it they will be able to improve housing to provide more comfort to your families," emphasized Helder Barbalho.
Lieutenant Governor Hana Ghassan expressed hope that the delivery of the benefit would be synonymous with prosperity and dignity in the lives of each of the families benefited by "Sua Casa", "because, from now on, you will be able to improve your housing and provide a better quality of life for your families."
The State delivered 105 benefits from the Program, related to the first phase, and 131 related to the second phase, which ensures the completion of the work. The "Sua Casa" program's main objective is to provide assistance for the acquisition of construction materials and payment for the workers involved in the work. The amount granted can reach R$ 21,000.
For the president of Cohab, Manoel Pioneiro, each delivery of the benefit is a feeling of duty fulfilled "with those who most need dignified housing. Being at Cohab is gratifying because it allows us to meet the determination of Governor Helder and our vice, Hana, to bring quality of life to families in the 144 municipalities of Pará."
Benefits in all regions - According to estimates from Cohab, investments in housing policy have already been extended to all 144 municipalities in Pará, benefiting more than 150,000 families in all regions since 2019, when the public policy "Sua Casa" was created.
Janaína Barros da Silva, an administrative assistant, said that the moment is one of "great gratitude and joy." For her, "being here is the realization of the dream of home ownership, being fulfilled with this benefit. Therefore, it is a moment to be thankful because, without this benefit, we certainly would not be able to have our house. I am very grateful."
Jorge Moreira Cabral, who is unemployed, shared that he started the construction at home but could not finish it. "I am very happy because our house is very precarious, not even livable. With this check, we will be able to finish the construction and live better," he informed.
