Amazônia Jazz Band brings the show “Festa Amazônica” to Bragança
Presentation at the Teatro Liceu da Música celebrates regional rhythms and expands access to Pará culture
On next Thursday (4), the Amazônia Jazz Band presents the show “Festa Amazônica” at 7 PM at the Teatro Liceu da Música in Bragança, in the Salgado region, under the direction of conductor Eduardo Lima.
This initiative is a realization of the government of Pará through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), Theatro da Paz, Paraense Academy of Music (APM), and master sponsorship from the Vale Cultural Institute via the Rouanet Law.
The repertoire includes Pará songs such as Foi Assim, Esse Rio é minha rua, Indauê Tupã, Sabor Açaí, among others, as well as the Lambada do Curupira, released in November in honor of the COP30 mascot and composed by percussionist Thiago D’Albuquerque.
Conductor Eduardo Lima explains that the show “Festa Amazônica” proposes a night full of cumbia, merengue, and zouk, in addition to lambada. For Lima, performing in Bragança is another opportunity to expand access to music and culture. “Amazônia Jazz Band is very happy to be able to bring our music to all municipalities. It is a feeling of duty fulfilled. Culture is for everyone,” he emphasizes.
Tickets can be purchased for R$ 2, starting at 10 AM on 04/12 at the reception of the Teatro Liceu da Música.
