Government of Pará and Bragança City Hall receive delegation from Cameroon on international investment mission
International mission strengthens economic cooperation, expands strategic partnerships, and showcases Bragança's productive potential to investors from Cameroon
The Government of Pará, through the Pará Economic Development Company (Codec), will officially welcome a delegation of investors from the Republic of Cameroon on December 2, who will be in the municipality of Bragança until December 5. The international mission results from the integrated work between State and Municipality and is aligned with the structured actions following the Economic Development Seminar and the signing of the Letter of Intent celebrated between the Bragança City Hall and Codec. The formal invitation for the Company's participation is included in a letter sent by the mayor of the municipality.
The visit aims to present Bragança's productive potential, highlighting the fisheries, agriculture, and cassava derivative sectors, which directly attract the interest of Cameroonian investors. To accompany the mission, Codec will send a trilingual technical team composed of Sabrina Sena, New Business Service Manager; Eduardo Rodrigues, Foreign Trade Manager; and Aline Tavares, Development and Economic Studies Manager. The professionals will be responsible for liaising with the foreign delegation, conducting interpretations and translations, technical alignments, and strategic presentations throughout the visit.
The Company's participation reinforces its role in prospecting industries, attracting new enterprises, and expanding economic development opportunities in Pará municipalities. For Codec's president, Lutfala Bitar, the presence of the delegation represents a milestone in the State's internationalization agenda.
“The visit of the Cameroonian delegation to Bragança represents a strategic moment for Pará. It is a concrete demonstration that the State is prepared to engage with the world, showcase its productive potential, and build partnerships that generate real development for our municipalities. This international approach reinforces Codec's role in identifying opportunities, providing technical security to investors, and strengthening productive chains that are fundamental for generating jobs and income. For Bragança, for Pará, and for Brazil, this mission opens doors, broadens horizons, and confirms that we are on the right path by working towards a competitive, integrated business environment connected to global demands,” says the president.
The Cameroonian delegation arrives in the municipality on December 2 at 5 PM, when they will be welcomed in an official ceremony at the ring road and at Praça Antônio Pereira, in an agenda that includes institutional reception, cultural manifestations, the planting of a baobab seedling, and the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the visit. On December 3, the delegation will begin technical visits to the Santino and Davi Flour Houses, participate in a regional lunch, and continue with programming at the Usina da Paz and the Historical Center. At 4 PM, at the Usina Theater, the Government of Pará and Codec will conduct a technical presentation for investors, showcasing industrial opportunities, logistics infrastructure, tax advantages, and ongoing strategic projects.
The program continues on December 4 with visits to the companies ARQUIA, G Pesca, Brafish, and Amazon Graff, as well as interactions with producer communities and municipal managers. In the evening, the delegation will participate in an institutional meeting with the mayor and an official dinner. On December 5, the last day of the mission, the group will engage in environmental activities in the mangroves, visit the Free Shellfish Fair, and conclude the agenda with a cultural lunch before returning to Belém.
The international mission reinforces Bragança City Hall's commitment to expanding external partnerships and promoting the municipality's productive potential to strategic markets. Codec's participation, at the invitation of the municipal government, adds technical expertise and strategic vision to the process, contributing to qualify the dialogue with investors and strengthen the presentation of existing opportunities in the territory. The rapprochement between Bragança, the Government of Pará, and the Cameroonian delegation expands cooperation possibilities, stimulates new investments, and creates conditions for initiatives that boost employment, income, and sustainable development both in the municipality and in other Pará regions.
