Sefa seizes more than 13 thousand tons of fish and 50 tons of feed in Dom Eliseu
The fish left Santa Isabel do Pará heading to Teresina, Piauí. The feed originated from Arapongas/PR and had Belém as its final destination.

State revenue inspectors from the Pará State Department of Finance (Sefa) seized 13,800 kilograms of frozen fish on Friday (25). The goods, valued at R$ 111,547.00, originated from Santa Isabel do Pará and were destined for Teresina/PI. The team is assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control in Itinga, in the municipality of Dom Eliseu, northeast of the State.
“The fish cargo was sent by a commercial establishment without the collection of the ICMS due on the interstate exit, as required by law. Upon confirming the infraction, a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued for the amount of R$ 18,739.90, of which R$ 13,385.64 corresponds to the tax and fine,” said the coordinator of the Tax Unit, Rafael Brasil.

Feed – On Thursday (24), also at the Sefa unit in Itinga, 50 tons of feed were seized, valued at R$ 99,493.28.
The cargo originated from Arapongas/PR and was destined for Belém. The goods were covered by a tax document highlighting the ICMS by tax substitution. “However, it was found that the tax had not been collected. In light of this, a TAD was issued for the amount of R$ 35,732.56, which was paid and the goods were released,” reported the state revenue inspector.
