Population in the countryside and capital has decentralized access to Detran's service network
Posts in shopping malls and restructured Ciretrans in the countryside eliminate long trips and queues, making life easier for drivers and future drivers

Investments in the restructuring of the Regional Traffic Circumscriptions (Ciretrans), fully modernized, and in the creation of new Advanced Posts in Belém are among the main strategies of the State Government to strengthen the decentralization of services offered by the State Traffic Department (Detran). As part of the Management Modernization Plan, more than 20 Ciretrans have already been contemplated in the State and, in Belém, three new posts have been delivered since 2024, at Boulevard Shopping, at Estação Cidadania, in the São Brás neighborhood, and at Parque Shopping.
“The greatest impact of this is the convenience and easy access to the services provided by Detran, such as, for example, biometric collection, issuance of payment slips, taking the theoretical test, among others. In addition, investing in the expansion and physical structuring of these spaces encourages the server to better serve the public, just as it encourages the user to regularize their vehicle and their CNH, which impacts road safety. Our goal is to restructure the 51 Circumscriptions spread throughout the State,” emphasizes Renata Coelho, general director of Detran.
University student Rita Oliveira, 21, took the theoretical test for the licensing process this Friday morning (25), through the state program CNH Pai D'égua, at the advanced post of Parque Shopping, the most recent delivery from the Government. Located in the Bengui neighborhood, one of the areas with the highest population density in the capital, the post covers a strategic area due to its location and the large flow of people who already transit daily through the place.

“Total ease, the service here at the new post is very good, it avoids queues and inconveniences, so all the steps of this process are being quick and smooth. Having access to these services inside a shopping mall, with all the safety and comfort, is very good and makes a difference,” comments the student.
The unit has the capacity to receive up to 150 people per day, totaling about 3,300 monthly services. The Detran Advanced Post at Parque Shopping, delivered in February of this year, operates on the ground floor, from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm. Service is provided by prior appointment through the call center 154.

Retiree Leonel Carvalho, 73, praised the service received when seeking the Advanced Post to transfer the jurisdiction of his National Driver's License (CNH) and renew the document. “The service has been impeccable, the employees show a lot of professionalism, they are attentive and polite. This is essential for the customer to feel secure in that work. It is important to decentralize, to solve the problem, otherwise everything accumulates in one place and it becomes a hassle, here is a way to solve the community's problem,” he says.
CIRETRANS – Among the Ciretrans delivered by the Government, the unit in Tomé-Açu, in the Integration Region of the Rio Capim, is among the most recent. With the capacity to serve 150 people per day, the space reaches users from the municipalities of Concórdia do Pará, Bujaru, São Domingos do Capim, Aurora do Pará, and Acará.

Before, we needed to travel to Belém to resolve services related to Detran, from the simplest to the most complex, which generated many costs and inconveniences. With the delivery of this unit, we now have practical and effective service right next to us. It was very assertive for the State Government to make this service available beyond the capital, as it embraced many cities. The structure is excellent and very well organized,” comments Roger Gonçalves, a resident of Tomé-Açu and a user of the local Ciretran services.
The Ciretrans are expanded spaces, with vehicle inspection areas, new computer equipment, modern and comfortable furniture, air-conditioned environments, landscaping, logistical security, parking spaces for people with disabilities (PwDs), adapted restrooms, kids' spaces, and many other improvements stand out in the new Ciretrans. The aim is to provide more quality in the services available to users, related to licensing and vehicles.
