Casa das Artes presents a dramatized reading of the play 'Waiting for Godot' this Friday (2)

The Cultural Foundation of Pará (FCP) presents this Friday (2) a dramatized reading of the play 'Waiting for Godot', produced by the theater company Nós Outros. The performance is free and will take place at Casa das Artes at 7 PM. The program is recommended for ages 10 and up.

The event aims to present the dramatized reading as a scenic exercise of study and analysis of texts, bringing them to the stage, valuing the text and its delivery – projection, diction, expression of emotions, and others – as well as the imagination and creativity of the audience. The activity is part of the project 'Contemporary Textures' promoted by FCP.

The reinterpretation of the play 'Waiting for Godot', directed by Hudson Andrade, immerses the audience in the 1948 drama, showcasing the story of two men: Vladimir and Estragon, who await Godot, who generates promises and expectations of a change in life against a backdrop of extreme vulnerability. Godot appears as a positive image against the backdrop of the play while the main characters are motivated to unmask any illusion of stability in the world.

The theater company 'Nós Outros' performs its version through a dramatic reading, focused on the actors' skills and the creation of vivid images derived from the technique of spoken word. The group utilizes absurd theater, which emerged in the social upheavals post-World War II in response to the existential philosophical abyss, to engage the audience with creativity and imagination.
