On this Wednesday (30), the State Secretariat for Racial Equality and Human Rights (Seirdh) received, at its headquarters, representatives from the National Youth Secretariat (SNJ) and youth movements from the state of Pará to discuss strategic actions aimed at strengthening public policies for youth in the state.

The meeting was led by Júnior Martins, manager of youth rights promotion, a department linked to Seirdh, and three representatives from the National Youth Secretariat. Neilson Marques, general coordinator, Miguel Intra, general coordinator of federative and interministerial relations, and Bruno Barreto, general coordinator of programs and projects, were present from SNJ.

Throughout the meeting, attendees heard the demands of representatives from youth movements from different municipalities in Pará.

At the venue, the Seirdh manager presented the directories and the functioning of the secretariat. Then, the SNJ leaders presented the programs and projects of the Federal Government aimed at youth.

The highlight among the projects was the Youth Caravan, an initiative conceived by the Federal Government, which will arrive in Marituba on the 14th of next month. This event will also celebrate the 20th anniversary of federal public policies aimed at young people.

The Caravan will take place from 8 AM to 5 PM at the Usina da Paz in the Nova União neighborhood. The activity, in addition to the political act, will provide services to the public, such as the issuance of ID Jovem, psychological support, and training sessions. There will also be cultural attractions and lectures from youth representatives.
