The Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) of Gurupi, in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, on the border of Pará with Maranhão, seized motorcycle parts, such as cylinders, transmissions, and parts kits totaling R$ 51,293.01. The goods left São Luís (MA) destined for Castanhal, in northeastern Pará, and were seized by the inspectors this Friday (2).

"After the start of the inspection and the delivery of the tax documents, the Sefa officials verified that the data contained in the invoice indicated São Luís (MA) as the origin and destination, meaning it would be an internal operation. Therefore, there was no justification for the goods to enter Pará,” explained the coordinator of the tax unit, Gustavo Bozola.

A physical verification of the cargo was carried out, and the 24 volumes of motorcycle parts were checked. The invoice was disregarded, and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 13,643.94, referring to the tax and fine.
