Investments by the Government of Pará in public safety maintain consistency in the joint work of visible policing and intelligence agencies

The investments made by the Government of Pará in the area of public safety have resulted in positive crime rates for the four-month period of 2025, as indicated by the numbers released by the Pará Secretary of Public Safety and Social Defense (Segup), through the Deputy Secretary of Intelligence and Criminal Analysis (Siac).
In the first four months of this year, Pará recorded a reduction of 59.82% in Violent Intentional Lethal Crimes (CVLI), which include robbery followed by death, homicide, femicide, and bodily injury resulting in death, compared to the same period in 2018.

“The fight against crime is a constant in the work we do, resulting from a joint action between visible policing and intelligence agencies, combined with strong state investments so that we can maintain the decline in crime rates in Pará, aiming for greater security and social peace for all,” concluded Ualame Machado.
