Civil Police seizes over 117 kg of drugs in Juruti and two men are arrested in the act
The police action was made possible through reports made to public security agents who apprehended the individuals in the act for drug trafficking and association for trafficking
Teams from the Civil Police Station of Juruti seized 117.54 kg of skunk, crack, and cocaine and arrested two men in the act for drug trafficking and association for trafficking. The action took place on the afternoon of this Friday, May 2, in the city of Juruti.
“The civil police received information that two individuals were heading to a hotel in the municipality transporting the drugs. The on-duty team then went to the indicated address and managed to intercept the duo who were hiding over 117 kg of drugs in two suitcases,” said Benassuly, the general delegate of the Civil Police of Pará.
The arrested individuals are from Manaus, the capital of Amazonas, and were carrying 113 packages of narcotic material, consisting of 103 packages of a substance similar to skunk, 8 packages of a substance similar to crack, and 2 packages of a substance similar to cocaine.
“Our teams arrested the suspects in the act, who were taken to the Police Station for the necessary procedures along with the seized material,” explained delegate Lucas Kutscher, who coordinated the team responsible for the arrest of the suspects.
