Sefa seizes two 0km vehicles in Conceição do Araguaia

Two new vehicles, valued at R$ 180,193.26, were seized on May 2 by the Secretary of Finance of Pará (Sefa), at the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Araguaia, located at km 15 of the PA-447 highway, in Conceição do Araguaia, southeastern region of the state.
The seizure occurred during a routine inspection when Sefa agents approached a car carrier truck transporting the vehicles. According to the coordinator of the tax unit, Renato Couto, the driver presented two invoices indicating the origin as the city of Betim (MG) and the final destination as Araguaína (TO). However, the driver reported that the cars were to be delivered to a dealership in Parauapebas (PA).

“The invoices presented do not cover the declared operation, constituting a tax irregularity,” explained Couto.
Given the inconsistency, two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued, totaling R$ 61,626.10 in tax and fine amounts for inadequate fiscal documentation.
