Population celebrates three years of operation of UsiPaz Bengui with special programming
The community had access to a series of free services in the areas of health, citizenship, leisure, and culture

Residents of the Bengui neighborhood in Belém participated this Saturday (3) in a special program to celebrate the three years of operation of the Usina da Paz Padre Bruno Sechi. Since 8 a.m., the community had access to a series of free services in the areas of health, citizenship, leisure, and culture.
The initiative by the State Government, through the Secretary of Citizenship Articulation (Seac), offered medical services, document issuance, aesthetic services, as well as legal support through the State Public Defender's Office and the State Coordination of People with Disabilities (Ceped).

For pedagogue Heloise Batista, 56, who has been attending the Usina since its inauguration in 2022, the program was a great opportunity to take care of her health and resolve pending issues without leaving the neighborhood. “I was able to get medical care, got the flu vaccine, and brought my daughter to do the rapid hepatitis test. For us here in the neighborhood, the Usina is excellent, it is a blessing in our community, as it came to improve our lives,” she stated.
Resident Lilian Ribeiro, 56, who also participated in the event, highlighted the importance of the Usina in qualifying the community. “Many women found here the opportunity to start their own businesses by participating in qualification courses and creating their own ventures. Today's program is commendable, as it emphasizes how much this place means to us,” she said.

Numbers - Since its inauguration on May 4, 2022, the unit has already provided more than 1.1 million free services, offering over 70 services to the community. The celebration this Saturday reaffirmed the role of UsiPaz Bengui as an important center for social integration for the residents of the capital of Pará.
Among the most sought-after services during the program, aesthetic services were popular among residents. Services such as haircuts, eyebrow design, massage therapy, and nail painting were offered. Housewife Rosilene Bronze, 55, took the opportunity to take care of her self-esteem. “It’s been a while since I could go to a salon, so I was very happy to be able to get my nails done here. We feel prettier, more valued. It was a gift,” she shared emotionally.

The coordinator of the Usina da Paz Bengui, Juliana Chaves, emphasized the transformative role of the public facility. “UsiPaz was designed to be a space for inclusion, citizenship, and opportunities. Today we celebrate not only three years of operation but also thousands of stories that have been impacted by this project,” she highlighted.

Service - The programming of UsiPaz Bengui continues until 5 p.m., with activities such as scavenger hunts, children's games, raffles, cultural presentations, aerobics classes, a pool open with Hidrokids, and much more.
