Detran will carry out educational action to guide drivers on traffic at the new overpass of the BR
Approaches will clarify routes and itineraries on the BR and Avenida Independência

The new overpass of BR-316 with Avenida Independência is already in full operation, and to guide drivers on the use of this important piece of road infrastructure, the State Traffic Department (Detran) will carry out a week of educational actions at the site. Scheduled for the beginning of this week, the program will include approaches to drivers passing through the area.
"Our agents will be positioned at traffic lights and in high-traffic locations within the influence area of the overpass with the aim of clarifying the correct way to navigate the area safely, as with any new construction, it still raises questions regarding traffic," explains Detran's education coordinator, Carlos Valente.
Delivered last Wednesday (30) by the State Government, the overpass is part of the Metropolitan BRT intervention complex and represents a significant advancement in urban mobility and regional development. With the main goal of providing greater fluidity to traffic in an area previously considered critical on the BR and Avenida Independência, the overpass eliminated the traffic light and the U-turn at km 09, in the central area of Ananindeua, reducing traffic congestion.
To better clarify to drivers about this new route, Detran has prepared explanatory material detailing the route and itinerary for those traveling on the BR towards Marituba and wishing to access Avenida Independência or return to Belém, as well as for those on Avenida Independência wishing to access the BR or go to Marituba.
