With a record audience in the round, Remo wins and takes the lead in Série B
With over 31,000 fans at Mangueirão, Leão surpasses attendance records and stands out both on and off the field
With over 31,000 fans in the stands, Clube do Remo defeated Amazonas 1-0 this Saturday (3) at Estádio Olímpico do Pará – Jornalista Edgar Proença, Mangueirão, in a match valid for the sixth round of the Série B of the Brazilian Championship. In addition to securing the lead in the competition, Leão had the largest audience of the round, surpassing even the mark set by Coritiba in the tournament's debut against Vila Nova.
According to the Pará Football Federation (FPF), Mangueirão hosted 31,351 fans, consolidating Remo's position at the top of the Série B attendance ranking. Now, the Pará club has two of the five largest audiences in the competition.
The secretary of the State Secretariat for Sports and Leisure (Seel), Cássio Andrade, highlighted the celebration of the blue fans in the stadium. “Mangueirão is the stage for great cultural and sporting events. Once again, we saw a beautiful celebration from the Pará fans, with the stadium filled with navy blue. Leão won and brought joy to its supporters, the ‘Blue Phenomenon’. I congratulate everyone for this remarkable moment in our passionate football,” he stated.
For fan Bruno Sena, the atmosphere in the stadium has been a differentiator. “Since the final stretch of Série C, the euphoria of the fans has only grown. The New Mangueirão plays a fundamental role in this: it is accessible, comfortable, and safe. Today we see more children, elderly people, people with disabilities, and families in the stands. Watching a match has become a pleasant experience,” he emphasized.
