State Department of Finance seizes fuels, bags, and designer shoes
Seizures occurred in the metropolitan and southwestern regions of the state

At the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of the State Department of Finance (Sefa) in Gurupi, located in the municipality of Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, bordering Maranhão, state tax inspectors seized 3,641 bags and 956 pairs of designer shoes. The cargo was valued at R$ 783,684.00, and the seizure occurred on Sunday (4).
“A truck coming from Ananindeua (PA), destined for São Luís (MA), was held at the tax post. After the inspection began and the tax documents were presented, the officials became suspicious of the contents and values stated on the invoice. The invoice contained a load of shoes and bags without descriptions of brands and models, in addition to the ridiculous prices of the products.
In addition, the recipient was an individual (CPF), but due to the quantity of the goods, the cargo was intended for commercial operation. A search was conducted on the sending company, and through the recipient's CPF, it was discovered that the person was a partner of the sending company, and that the destination was a residence in São Luís,” said the coordinator of the Gurupi unit, Gustavo Bozola.
With the information gathered, the inspectors decided to physically verify the cargo and found bags and shoes from a famous brand. After three days of counting and checking, 3,641 bags and 956 pairs of designer shoes were found.
In addition to the ridiculous values stated on the invoice, the quantity of bags and shoes did not match the amounts reported in the tax document.
The invoice was disregarded, and the goods were re-evaluated according to the prices on the tags, totaling R$ 783,684.00. Two Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were issued for the amount of R$ 272,821.23, for the payment of tax and fines.

Fuels - During an inspection carried out by the Coordination of Control of Goods in Transit of Serra do Cachimbo, at km-785 of the BR-163 Highway (Cuiabá-Santarém), in the municipality of Novo Progresso, southwestern Pará, state tax inspectors seized, on Tuesday (6), 8,000 liters of fuels, including 6,000 liters of S10 diesel and 2,000 liters of regular gasoline.
“The tank truck left Guarantã do Norte-MT. The seizure occurred because the invoice presented by the transporter referred to an operation intended for another federation unit. However, after investigation, it was found that the fuel in question would be delivered in the state of Pará. According to LC 192/22, in operations with petroleum-derived fuels, the tax is due to the state where consumption occurs,” said the coordinator of the Cachimbo tax unit, Maycon Freitas.
A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was issued for the amount of R$ 17,388.00 regarding the tax and fines owed. The goods were valued at R$ 53,242.40. The Term of Seizure (TAD) was paid, and the goods were released.
