The first match of the final of the Pará championship, between Remo and Paysandu, which took place this Wednesday (07), featured a strong security scheme with about 2,000 agents integrated into ostensive, repressive, and traffic actions. To monitor the arrival of the public and the surroundings of the stadium, as well as the exit at the end of the match, the Operational Command Center (CCO) was activated with agents monitoring images from about 800 cameras installed inside and around the stadium.

From the Center, it was possible to ensure tranquility and order during the match, gathering the mobilized public security forces, as pointed out by the Deputy Secretary of Operational Management (Sago/Segup), Colonel PM Sérgio Neves.

“For the classic match between Remo and Paysandu, we set up a robust security scheme, with over 800 cameras monitoring every detail. Managers from various agencies are gathered at the operational command center, ready to respond to any demands that arise. Our goal is to ensure a safe and peaceful environment for all fans to enjoy the spectacle,” he emphasized.

Operation - Located in the box sector, on side B, the 'Command Center' concentrates and streamlines security demands seeking the best and most agile resolution. The location brings together representatives of the security forces, according to the strategy developed by the Public Security and Social Defense Secretariat (Segup) in a prior meeting. Monitoring by the forces began earlier with the opening of access gates to the parking lot at 5 PM, followed by the scheduled opening of the stadium gates, and only concluded when the movement of exit and around the stadium finished.

With intense movement upon arrival, fans were able to observe the work of the security agents. Lawyer Ana Paula Silva arrived early to enter calmly and cheer with her family. “We have reached the final stretch of the Pará championship, and it is a unique experience to be able to cheer for my team with safety.

In this first classic, we observed that the security forces are present at all times, from the initial organization of the event to our entry into the stadium. Ensuring that we can enjoy the classic with all our rights secured. Now we just have to wait for the lion's victory!” she said, with high hopes for her team's win.

Other structures and actions - In addition to the Command Center, the units installed at Mangueirão, such as the Police Battalion for Events, responsible for maintaining public order at major events, are fully operational in coordinating the ostensive actions of the Military Police troops, as well as the Delegacy for the Protection of Fans and Major Events and the Specialized Delegacy for Women's Assistance, which are available to ensure service and agility in recording occurrences.

According to the head of the Delegacy for the Protection of Fans and Major Events, Delegate Marcos André Araújo, RexPA needs good planning to ensure that people who enjoy watching the game have their safety guaranteed, as was carried out by the security system.

Delegate Marcos André

“We are here to ensure that people who come to watch the game feel safe, and if criminals infiltrating the crowds come to the stadium intending to commit crimes, they should know that we are attentive, and if identified committing illegal acts here at Mangueirão, they will be held accountable, penalized, not only in this game but in various games. And since it is a final of the Pará championship, a classic match recognized nationally as one of the most contested and beautiful due to the celebration that takes place, we launched two operations this week, where we arrested four people for robbery, aggravated robbery, and for the crime of sports disturbance for having assaulted a worker in the last RexPA, and also at the headquarters of the organized fans, where we executed search and seizure warrants, seizing materials that could not circulate. Therefore, all actions were aimed at showing that the police are working, doing their part so that good citizens, the fans can come to the stadium, watch the sporting event safely,” stated the delegate.

Awareness - A team from Segup, through the Directorate of Public Policies and Social Prevention (DPS), also operated at the stadium by disseminating reporting and assistance channels aimed at women, such as the Specialized Delegacy for Women's Virtual Assistance and the Women's Assistance Totem, which are essential tools for assistance and recording complaints in cases of violence. In addition, the teams also provided information about the “Do Not Be Silent” protocol, combating the crime of sexual harassment, approaching fans and sharing information about the crime and ways to report it if it occurs.

Isabele Chagas

Paysandu fan Isabele Chagas commented that the work of the security forces, especially the assistance aimed at women, is fundamental and important. “It is the State's duty to protect citizens, but above all, I want to recognize and congratulate the state government for opening the first Women's Delegacy inside the Mangueirão Stadium. I believe that from it, we women, stadium and bleacher fans, have started to feel safer, having this comfort, this extra security, a safe haven inside the stadium. So, I already see the pink police cars, so I know that if I need to, I can shout, call for help, and I will be assisted by them. So, without a doubt, I feel a little safer now.”

Integration - Segup teams, through the Operational and Intelligence and Criminal Analysis secretariats, Graesp and Ciop; Military and Civil Police, Detran, Military Fire Brigade, and Seap, as well as other state agencies such as Seel, Public Defender's Office, Public Ministry, and also municipal agencies, Municipal Guard, Semob, and Public Organization integrate the planned actions.
