The Pará Center for Hemotherapy and Hematology Foundation (Hemopa) promoted the 'Solidary Moms' campaign this Thursday (8), in partnership with the Aeronautics Hospital of Belém (Habe). Held at the foundation's headquarters, the initiative aimed to mobilize military mothers to participate and perform a voluntary act of blood donation, contributing to the reinforcement of the stocks of the state blood network.

The 'Solidary Moms' campaign is part of the external action calendar of the Hemopa Foundation and reinforces the commitment to donation as a gesture of love and solidarity. The initiative values the role of mothers as protagonists of actions that save lives and promotes awareness among the population for regular blood donation. The partnership with the Aeronautics Hospital of Belém (Habe) was fundamental for the success of the mobilization, and the participation of military mothers was a source of pride for the corporation.

For the speech therapist and head of the Social Communication Section of Habe, Roberta Bona Hercy de Souza, the partnership with Hemopa is extremely important, as it shows the union of two institutions committed to saving lives: "It is a great satisfaction to know that we can help in this way. We hope that this partnership continues for many years and that, more and more, we can awaken in our military mothers this awareness and initiative to donate blood," she stated.

The social worker of the Hemopa Foundation, Priscila Nobre, also highlighted the relevance of the mobilization. "Today I am at Gecad. This campaign, in partnership with AB, is repeated annually. It is a very important action for us, as it marks the beginning of Mother's Campaign. This partnership has existed for a long time, and the representatives of AB make a point of being present. It is a special campaign because it celebrates the beginning of the tributes to mothers."

Renata Freitas Almeida, donor

Among the donors was nurse Renata Freitas Almeida, with blood type O negative, considered universal. Renata had already participated in the campaign previously, and after motherhood, she donated blood for the first time. "This is the first year I come to donate blood as a mother. My baby is 1 year and 3 months old. I am very happy because I know that a single bag of blood can help up to four people. This makes me fulfilled and my heart full of gratitude," she highlighted.
