On this eve of Mother's Day, State delivers unit of Daycare Centers throughout Pará
The government of Pará benefited the city of Bannach with an educational program
On this Saturday (10), the eve of Mother's Day, confirming the commitment to support families, especially single mothers, with the guarantee of accessible and quality public education, the Government of Pará, through the State Department of Education of Pará (Seduc), delivered to the municipality of Bannach, in the southeast of Pará, the new EMEI Tânia Maria de Medeiros Silva.
The unit will benefit up to 200 children aged 0 to 5 years, and it is the 8th Daycare guaranteed by the Daycare Centers throughout Pará program. "I want to thank God, who allows us to be here this morning to deliver this daycare, this educational equipment so important for the children of Bannach, who will be able to have quality education in a beautiful, welcoming, dignified environment, with this fully structured daycare, with this daycare that allows children to have air-conditioned classrooms," emphasized Governor Helder Barbalho.
"This delivery is symbolic on the eve of Mother's Day, and may we be here to take care of what, for a mother, is the most precious thing, which is the child," said Helder Barbalho.
He pointed out: "Mothers are those who give birth to the child, they are the ones who breastfeed, welcome. They are the ones who are close in moments of joy. But, above all, in times of difficulty, it is the mother who guides, cares, nurtures, and protects. And this daycare means that. Because here, the mother, the father, the family can leave the child and work to ensure sustenance, to put food on the table."
The governor also highlighted the construction of daycare centers in each of the 144 municipalities of the state. "The Daycare Centers throughout Pará, which reaches Bannach, has the focus on education, so that we can ensure that all children aged 0 to 5 years in this state can be literate at the right age. But this daycare also has the role of being an extension of the home, an extension of the family to protect our children in Bannach."
"Today, we arrived here. We have delivered daycares like this in several other cities. We delivered in Ananindeua, Benevides, Redenção, Cumaru do Norte, Almeirim, Oriximiná, Redenção, now in Bannach, and we are delivering in all cities. There are 150 daycares like these that the Government of Pará is building so that we can say that 100% of the children in this state have quality early childhood education," he concluded.
With an investment of R$ 4.1 million, the new daycare in the municipality of Bannach has the highest standard of the Daycare Centers throughout Pará program. The unit has 9 classrooms, 1 multipurpose room, 5 bathrooms - male, female, and for People with Disabilities (PcD) -, administrative block, kitchen, lactation room, nursery, sand playground, garden, among other essential spaces for quality early childhood education.
For Gleicivania Santos, a mother and social worker, the new daycare will be fundamental for the development of children. "As a mother, I am happy with this achievement because I am sure that here my child will develop various activities, will have contact with education, and will interact with other children of his age group."
"I have confidence in leaving him here and being able to go to work because it is difficult to find someone to take care of him, to help us, that we can trust. And here I am sure there will be qualified professionals. The environment is safe, well-structured, so other mothers and I are happy to leave our children safe and comfortable here," she explained.
Tiffany Mariane, a nurse and mother of a student, acknowledges that the new daycare will assist her in the routine between home and work. "This advancement is very important for Bannach, to have a safe place where you can leave your child with qualified professionals. While he is here learning, we, mothers, will be able to work peacefully. It is a feeling of gratitude."
Representing the Secretary of State for Education of Pará, Rossieli Soares, was the Deputy Secretary of Network Management and Collaboration Regime of Seduc, Diego Maia. "This is the eighth daycare we are inaugurating, the Daycare Centers throughout Pará program. Besides being a welcoming space for children and families, for mothers, for women who need to work, the construction of this unit also generated employment, with about 30 people employed directly here. And today we are making this delivery. We are happy, the community is happy, Bannach deserves it, and there is also a grand vision from the State Government and Seduc to serve these families," he said.
Advancements - Just this year, in less than 5 months, the State has delivered seven completely rebuilt schools in the municipalities of Bragança, Belém, Anapu, Cachoeira do Arari, and Brejo Grande do Araguaia; and three entirely new schools in Brasil Novo, Breu Branco, and Colares, in addition to three more units of the Daycare Centers throughout Pará program, one in Redenção, one in Cumaru do Norte, and now one in Bannach. The Government of Pará, through Seduc, has also delivered two more Centers for Innovation and Sustainability in Basic Education (Ciseb). All these actions had an investment of over R$66 million.
The "Daycare Centers throughout Pará" is an unprecedented educational program that will benefit about 30,000 families, mainly mothers in situations of social vulnerability, who need to return to the job market. More than R$ 400 million are being invested in the construction of 150 daycare centers throughout the State, to serve children aged 0 to 5 years. In municipalities with a higher population index, two structures will be built. Each of the units has the capacity to serve 200 children, with classrooms, nursery, lactation room, and all the necessary structure for early childhood education.
Daycares have already been delivered in Belém, Ananindeua, Benevides, Oriximiná, Redenção, Cumaru do Norte, Almeirim, and now in Bannach.
