Integration of security forces ensures tranquility at the Parazão Banpará 2025 final, at Mangueirão
With the integrated action of over 2,000 agents, the Government of Pará ensured a safe event with no serious incidents during the classic match between Remo and Paysandu

The grand final of the 2025 Paraense Championship, held this Sunday (11) at the Olympic Stadium of Pará – Journalist Edgar Proença (Mangueirão), was marked not only by the excitement on the field but also by the tranquility provided by the integrated action of the security forces. Over 47,000 fans attended the classic match between Remo and Paysandu with enhanced security, with no serious incidents reported during and after the match.
The security plan was coordinated by the State Secretariat for Public Security and Social Defense (Segup) and involved approximately 2,000 agents, including civil and military police, firefighters, and agents from state and municipal agencies.
Security from the opening of the gates
The security actions began as soon as the stadium gates opened and continued until the complete evacuation of the public. The personnel were distributed inside and outside Mangueirão, ensuring smooth traffic, order in the surroundings, and quick response to any situation.

“The planning and execution of the security scheme reinforced the State Government's commitment to the well-being of the population. The integration of policing, traffic management, and the presence of regulatory agencies were fundamental to ensuring a peaceful event. We congratulate everyone involved,” stated Colonel PM Sérgio Neves, Deputy Secretary of Operational Management at Segup.
Strategic actions in the stadium and surroundings
The policing included various modalities, including foot patrols, vehicles, motorcycles, cavalry, and support from the canine unit. According to Colonel PM Marcelo Mangas, responsible for policing the match, the Military Police mobilized 1,280 agents throughout the event area. “The operation only concludes with the complete evacuation of the stadium and the safe dispersal of the fans,” he emphasized.
Inside the stadium, structures such as the Operational Command Center (CCO), the Event Police Battalion, and the Delegacy for the Protection of Fans and Major Events were available to the public, reinforcing intelligence operations and rapid response.
Combating sexual harassment
Segup also developed actions aimed at protecting women during the event. Teams from the Public Policy and Social Prevention Directorate worked on promoting the “Do Not Stay Silent” protocol and reporting channels such as the Virtual Women's Police Station and the Women's Service Kiosk. The educational approach to fans highlighted the importance of reporting and combating sexual harassment in public spaces.

Delegate Marcos André Araújo, head of the Delegacy for the Protection of Fans and Major Events, emphasized the work of the Civil Police. “We had teams on standby to register incidents, support other agencies, and ensure that fans could enjoy this experience safely, from arrival to departure.”
Total integration - The security operation for the Parazão final involved agents from Segup (including the Deputy Secretariats of Operations and Intelligence), Military Police, Civil Police, Military Fire Brigade, Detran, Seap, Ciop, and Graesp, as well as the Municipal Guard of Belém, Semob, and representatives from Seel, Public Defender's Office, and Public Ministry. The coordination among the agencies reinforced the State's coordinated action in hosting major events.
