During the anniversary celebration of Xinguara, in southeastern Pará, Governor Helder Barbalho signed the service order that guarantees the construction of a daycare in the municipality, reaffirming the State's commitment to quality education from the earliest months of life, through the "Daycares Throughout Pará" program of the Pará State Department of Education (Seduc). The new unit will benefit up to 200 children aged 0 to 5 years and will provide support to the families of Xinguara with an adapted and safe space. The authorization took place on the afternoon of this Tuesday (13).

"This is our birthday gift to the municipality of Xinguara, the service order for the construction of the daycare, from the Daycares Throughout Pará program, for our children. It is quality education, full-time daycare, with R$ 6 million in investments in the construction of the daycare," said the State Governor, Helder Barbalho.

The governor also reaffirmed the State's commitment to the quality of children's education, which is one of the management's priorities.

"We want to bring daycare to all cities so that all children, from 0 to 5 years old, can have a daycare to study right at the beginning of their lives. Daycare is important to assist families who need to work and have a safe place, with suitable and comfortable environments to leave their children," he concluded.

Each school unit will have the capacity to serve 200 children aged 0 to 5 years, offering a space with classrooms, nursery, lactation room, in addition to all the necessary structure for early childhood education, such as a covered recreational area, playroom, and multipurpose room. In addition to reducing the educational deficit in the state, the program aims to boost the learning process in Early Childhood Education.

"This is a very special program because it looks directly at the development of our children, for families that need it so much, and for municipalities that also need support to ensure that all children are indeed in school, learning. Getting it right at the beginning is to have the certainty of a better future, of greater educational development, of greater opportunities for children and families. Daycare is fundamental for school life; the entire community of Xinguara stands to gain from the future new daycare in the municipality," said Rossieli Soares, Secretary of State for Education of Pará.

The "Daycares Throughout Pará" is an unprecedented educational program that will benefit around 30,000 families, mainly mothers in situations of social vulnerability, who need to return to the job market.

More than R$ 400 million are being invested in the construction of 150 daycares throughout the State to serve children aged 0 to 5 years. In municipalities with a higher population index, two structures will be built. Daycares have already been delivered in Belém, Ananindeua, Benevides, Oriximiná, Redenção, Cumaru do Norte, Almeirim, and Bannach.

Advances - Just this year, in less than 5 months, the State has also delivered seven completely rebuilt schools in the municipalities of Bragança, Belém, Anapu, Cachoeira do Arari, and Brejo Grande do Araguaia; and three entirely new schools in Brasil Novo, Breu Branco, and Colares, in addition to three more units of the Daycares Throughout Pará program, one in Redenção, one in Cumaru do Norte, and now one in Bannach. The Government of Pará, through Seduc, has also delivered two more Centers for Innovation and Sustainability in Basic Education (Ciseb). All these actions had an investment of over R$ 66 million.
