Codec and São Domingos do Capim establish partnership for public actions to encourage the business environment
The goal is to strengthen infrastructure, promote productive chains, and attract companies to boost the local economy
The municipality of São Domingos do Capim reached a new milestone in its pursuit of development this Thursday (15). The city hall signed a Letter of Intent with the Economic Development Company of Pará (Codec). The goal is the joint execution of a series of activities and the development of tools for the economic development of the municipality, generating new job and income opportunities.
The protocol provides for the holding of a local seminar with the main stakeholders involved in the theme, in order to better understand the potential and demands of the municipality as well as the infrastructure and logistics conditions necessary for attracting investments and businesses. In the end, an Investor's Guide will be prepared, a document that will gather strategic information to facilitate the establishment of new enterprises in the municipality.
The Investor's Guide is an essential tool for investors, as it maps and presents the main productive chains and investment opportunities in the municipality.
For Mayor Orivaldo “Bateria” Oliveira, the partnership represents a decisive step in building a more competitive city. “Codec, through its planning, will support us in holding development seminars and in the socioeconomic diagnosis of the municipality. With this, we will create a more attractive environment for the arrival of companies and industries. This union represents more than a protocol. It is the symbol that, with the right partners and planning, we will restructure the municipality and place it on a solid growth path,” he concluded.
Festival da Pororoca
Located in the northeastern region of Pará, the municipality of São Domingos do Capim stands out nationally for the traditional Festival da Pororoca. The event celebrates one of the most impressive natural phenomena of the Amazon: the meeting of the waters of the Capim River with the tides of the Atlantic Ocean, forming navigable waves that attract Brazilian and foreign surfers.
Held annually, the event plays an important role in boosting the local economy, promoting tourism and valuing riverside culture, transforming the city into a hub for extreme sports and a showcase of the tourism potential of the interior of Pará.
"This partnership with São Domingos do Capim reinforces the presence of the Government of Pará's structure in the municipalities, following the guidelines of the state executive, as well as Codec's commitment to the regional development of Pará," highlights the Director of Strategy and Institutional Relations of Codec, Pádua Rodrigues.
Pádua Rodrigues explained that "the strategic actions, which include seminars, a training program for attracting investments, socioeconomic diagnosis, an investor's guide, and the drafting of municipal tax incentive laws, will result in a better presentation of the municipality's potential and capabilities to investors, showing that development can and should reach all regions of Pará. Codec has its doors open to the municipalities of Pará, supporting regional management with strategies that boost local economic development and that of Pará, generating jobs and income for thousands of families in Pará," pointed out the Codec director.
Codec's initiative reaffirms the integration between the state government, municipal administration, and the productive sector, with the aim of transforming São Domingos do Capim into a regional hub of opportunities. With this action, Codec expands its operations in the interior and continues its commitment to promoting balanced and sustainable economic development in all regions of Pará.
