Sefa seizes over 100 kitchen appliances with irregular tax documentation in Pará
Inspection identified discrepancies in the documentation and found that the products were in usable condition, despite being declared as scrap

At the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control in Gurupi, from the State Department of Finance (Sefa), located in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeast of Pará, 116 appliances including refrigerators and freezers were seized on Thursday (15), transported with irregular tax documentation.
According to Sefa, the truck departed from Benevides, in the Metropolitan Region of Belém, heading to Salvador (BA). The inspection team suspected the veracity of the cargo, as the invoice presented conflicting information, indicating the transport of scrapped products, originating from Alhandra (PB) and also destined for Salvador.

During the on-site verification, the inspectors found that the appliances were in good usable condition, showing only minor damages, typical of display and showcase products. After consulting the profile of the recipient company, it was identified that the main activity was the retail trade of household appliances.
The merchandise was valued at R$ 87,825.00. The invoice was disregarded for containing incorrect data, and a Seizure and Deposit Term (TAD) was issued for the amount of R$ 30,036.15, as reported by the unit coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.
