Civil Police arrests individual involved in attempted robbery that victimized parliamentary advisor in Belém

The Civil Police of Pará, through the Division of Repression to Thefts and Robberies (DRFR), carried out the arrest of a man investigated for involvement in the attempted robbery that victimized parliamentary advisor Deyje Tayly Franco, a week ago, this Friday (16). The victim was taken for medical treatment and survived.
Through the analysis of security camera footage, it was possible to identify the model and license plate of the vehicle used in the criminal act. Thus, the vehicle was located parked in front of a residence in the Maguari neighborhood, in Belém. The suspect was identified and approached by the police after leaving the residence towards the car.
“At the moment of the approach, the suspect attempted to flee but was detained by the agents. He confessed to participating in the crime that resulted in the victim being shot and was also arrested in the act for illegal possession of a firearm, criminal association, and drug trafficking,” detailed delegate Arthur Braga, head of the DRFR.

During the searches inside the vehicle and the residence, six .38 caliber ammunition, a significant quantity of narcotic substance, a signal blocker, and two cell phones wrapped in aluminum foil, as well as a damaged electronic ankle bracelet were seized.
Continuing the investigation, the police went to an address where another suspect was believed to be; however, he managed to evade the location. “At this other residence, a revolver was seized, possibly the weapon used to shoot at the victim. Forensic examinations were requested to compare with the fragments collected on the day of the criminal act,” explained delegate Evandro Araújo, head of the Specialized Police Directorate (DPE).

Deyje Tayly Franco, advisor to federal deputy Éder Mauro, was shot when leaving his car at a workshop on D’Alva passage, in the Marambaia neighborhood in Belém, on Friday (09/05). The victim was hit by three shots, one in the chest, another in the hand, and one grazing the rib. Deyje was taken for medical treatment and survived.
The investigations continue to locate other individuals involved in the crime. The arrested suspect was taken to the DRFR for the necessary procedures and will remain at the disposal of justice.
