The Government of Pará, in partnership with the Rural Union of Redenção, held an event last Thursday (15) aimed at rural producers to expand the actions and benefits of the Sustainable Livestock Farming program in the region. The "Meeting for the strengthening of sustainable productive chains in Pará" featured representatives from the Institute of Lands of Pará (Iterpa), the Agency for Agricultural Defense of Pará (Adepará), the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra), and the Institute for Forest Development and Biodiversity of Pará (Ideflor-Bio), among other institutions.

The event included assistance to producers and lectures on environmental regularization, unlocking properties, land regularization, and animal traceability. State technicians also provided information on the status of the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR) of the properties, grants, land consultation, and other available services.

The benefits of the Sustainable Livestock Farming program, the largest initiative for traceability, integrity, and development of this productive chain in Brazil, were the main highlight.

The event featured participation from the head of the Secretary of Environment and Sustainability of Pará (Semas), Raul Protázio Romão, the General Director of the State Agricultural Defense Agency (Adepará), Jamir Macedo, the technical advisor to the presidency of the Institute for Forest Development and Biodiversity of Pará (Ideflor-Bio), Thiago Valente, the vice-president of the Institute of Lands of Pará (Iterpa), Flavio Ricardo Azevedo, and the Legal Director of the Institute, Fernanda Sequeira, as well as the Regional Superintendent of the National Institute of Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra), Andreyk Maia, and the president of the Rural Union of Redenção, Márcio Borges.

The Sustainability Supervisor of JBS, Ewerton Araújo, and the mayor of Cumaru do Norte, Nego, were also present.

"We had a full house here in Redenção, and we were able to talk a lot about environmental regularization, land regularization, unlocking, and bureaucratization. We were able to speak to more than 200 rural producers from the south of the State about how the State is close, is supporting, and is helping them to regularize, to produce more, to produce better, and to produce correctly, which is very important. So we came on behalf of the governor, and the vice-governor Hana, to bring this message that the State is close to the producer and to bring more involvement to the south of the State of Pará," highlighted Secretary Raul Protázio.

The lectures addressed topics such as traceability and sanitary defense; commercial requalification policy; state and federal land regularization; and the regulation of the Environmental Protection Quota (CPA). Producers were able to ask questions directly to the representatives of the institutions, in an open dialogue that reinforced the State's approach.
