The State Secretariat for Tourism of Pará (Setur) continues to advance in actions to encourage the formalization and qualification of the tourism sector in Pará. Through Cadastur — a system from the Ministry of Tourism (MTur) that gathers tourism service providers from all over Brazil — the initiative has been reaching more and more municipalities. This week, from May 19 to 23, the cities of Piçarra, Itupiranga, and Colares received activities aimed at guidance, training, and mobilization of local entrepreneurs, reinforcing the commitment of the Government of Pará to the development of regional tourism.

In the municipality of Piçarra, in the southeast of the state, the program began on the 19th with training on Cadastur aimed at the staff of the Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Tourism. The municipal secretary, Janaina Sousa, actively participated in the training and highlighted the importance of the technical qualification of the team to boost tourism in the region.

On the same day, in partnership with Sebrae, an open lecture was held for the community, addressing the importance of formalizing tourism businesses. The activity included the participation of the person responsible for the Entrepreneur Room, strengthening the institutional articulation between different support fronts for the sector.

During the week, the actions continued with technical visits to the tourism businesses in the city. The goal was to guide entrepreneurs and workers on the registration process in Cadastur, promoting adherence to the system.

“At the end of the mobilization, we achieved the adherence of 100% of the tourism businesses in Piçarra to Cadastur, which represents a significant advance towards changing the municipality's category on the Brazilian Tourism Map. The engagement of the municipal management and the technical team has been decisive in this process, reflecting the joint effort to enhance the tourism potential of the region,” said Setur's tourism expert, Áurea Stella.

In Colares, in the northeastern part of Pará, the mobilization took place on Thursday (22), with the Cadastur 3.0 Workshop held at the City Council. The event brought together about 60 participants, including entrepreneurs and representatives from public and private institutions, strengthening the dialogue among various agents of local and state tourism.

The program included the presence of the coordinator of public policy planning for tourism at Setur, Leda Moreira, and the qualification manager of the secretariat, Margarete Carvalho. Representatives from Banco Banpará also participated, presenting the Crediturismo and Fungentur credit lines, as well as representatives from Sebrae, the City Hall of Colares, and local leaders such as Edilena Saraiva (coordinator of cultural arts projects), Lídia Rodrigues (heritage coordinator), Iza Gama (chief of staff), Vania Roberta (Sebrae coordinator), and Glayce Saraiva (tourism coordinator).

During the workshop, Margarete Carvalho, regional coordinator of Cadastur, presented the platform and explained its functionalities. “The system is free and offers advantages to registered users, such as access to training, capacity building supported by the Ministry of Tourism, participation in government programs and projects, support in events, fairs, and actions. Additionally, it serves as a visibility showcase and a source of consultation for tourists, also being a business opportunity, reinforcing the commitment to strengthening local entrepreneurship and access to microcredit opportunities,” she emphasized.

Leda Moreira also reinforced the objectives of the mobilization. “The initiative aimed to clarify the benefits of Cadastur, promote entrepreneurship, and stimulate adherence to the system, which guarantees various advantages to registered users, such as access to credit, participation in fairs and promotional actions of the government,” she stated.

Next week, the Setur team will take the Cadastur actions to the municipalities of Ponta de Pedras and Medicilândia, continuing the internalization of public policies aimed at strengthening tourism in Pará.
