The humanization actions developed by the multiprofessional team at Jean Bitar Hospital (HJB) have provided special and emotional moments for users, both during hospitalizations and examinations. One of these initiatives is aimed at hospitalized patients, who, at the time of discharge, receive a special tribute: the Victory Certificate. The gesture symbolizes the recognition of each patient's strength and overcoming, leaving an affectionate memory of the care received.

Professor Maria de Fátima, 40 years old, shows the Victory Certificate. She had gallbladder surgery.

“I found the professionals very good, always willing to help in the surgery process. Now I feel much better because of the welcome I received,” reported Maria de Fátima, 40 years old, a teacher from Belém, who was hospitalized for gallstone removal surgery.
The message on the certificate carries the affection of the multiprofessional team at HJB:

"Congratulations for staying strong, even in difficult times. Your passage through Jean Bitar Hospital reveals one of humanity's greatest virtues: perseverance. And today, you earn your reward: a new beginning. The team at Jean Bitar Hospital celebrates your recovery."

According to Gleiciane Moraes, Support Coordinator, the idea for the Victory Certificate emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic as a way to celebrate patients' discharges with humanization actions. “We resumed this tribute to keep alive this gesture of affection and solidarity, which is now part of the routine of Assistance. The delivery is made by the Reception team at the most awaited moment: the hospital discharge.”

Another highlight is the action of the Diagnostic and Therapeutic Support Service (SADT), which has sensitively welcomed children undergoing periodic laboratory tests. The little patients receive the Courage Certificate, a loving and playful way to recognize their bravery, promoting safety and tranquility in the care process.
Ana Beatriz, 8 years old, is one of the children being treated. She has been receiving treatment at the unit for two years and has already collected several certificates.

“The certificate is encouraging, it takes away the fear. My daughter is being treated for precocious puberty and feels more secure with this welcome,” said Solange Santos, 50 years old, the girl's mother, who lives in the municipality of Primavera, 200 km from Belém.

For the coordinator of SADT, Yago Larrat, symbolic actions like this are great allies in humanized pediatric care: "They help transform the examination moment into a lighter, more positive, and less traumatic experience, promoting the physical and emotional well-being of the little ones."
