A load of 184 tons of soybeans was seized today (28) by state tax inspectors from the State Department of Finance (Sefa). The total value of the goods is R$ 339,351.20. The officials are assigned to the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Araguaia, on Highway PA 447, km 15, in Conceição do Araguaia.

"Documents were presented for four trucks loaded with soybeans, totaling 184,330 kg, leaving Tucumã with an invoice destined for Valinhos (SP). Upon checking the presented documents, it was found that the sender had been removed from the Simples Nacional, thus requiring the advance payment of the tax upon leaving the state," said the coordinator of the tax unit, Renato Couto.

Four Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) were drawn up for the collection of the tax in the total amount of R$ 57,010.99.

Itinga – In the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Itinga, in Dom Eliseu, northeastern Pará, eight tons of feed were also seized this Wednesday, valued at R$ 84,809.21, coming from Hidrolândia (GO) and destined for Belém.

"The goods, subject to the tax substitution regime, entered the state of Pará supported by the state registration of the tax substitute declared in the invoice, but currently the registration is suspended. A Term of Seizure and Deposit (TAD) was drawn up in the amount of R$ 20,798.12, referring to the tax and fine," reported the coordinator Rafael Brasil.

Gurupi - In the Coordination of Goods in Transit Control of Gurupi, located in Cachoeira do Piriá, northeastern Pará, 65 packages of various goods without ICMS payment were also seized today (28).

"A closed box truck presented invoices for goods, and the driver was asked to physically verify the load. It was found that there were 65 packages of haberdashery goods and 358 units of aluminum products for resale. These goods were destined for individuals to be resold. In this case, according to the legislation, the quantity characterizes commercial intent and, therefore, state registration and advance tax payment upon entering the state is mandatory," informed the coordinator, Gustavo Bozola.

The goods came from Ceará and were destined for cities in Pará, such as Abaetetuba, Castanhal, and Belém. "After the verification, the load was valued at R$ 47,634.55 and was retained, with five Terms of Seizure and Deposit (TADs) drawn up, totaling R$ 11,029.34," concluded the state tax inspector.
