High school teachers from Seduc participate in training on technology and pedagogical innovation
The action aims to qualify educators for the contemporary challenges of education, promoting mastery and practice of educational principles using technology

Educators from the State Department of Education of Pará (Seduc) have started training in a course on how to combine technology with education, a strategic initiative aimed at training high school teachers from the state public network.
“The training focused on technology and education is one of the strategies we are adopting to strengthen the quality of learning in our network. It is not just about the use of technology. It is a profound change in the way we think about learning, making it more flexible, student-centered, and connected to current challenges. This training aims to empower our teachers to meaningfully integrate digital resources into innovative pedagogical practices. This is essential to ensure that learning occurs both inside and outside the classroom, respecting the rhythms and contexts of our students,” explained Rafael Herdy, coordinator of the Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Basic Education (Ciseb).
According to him, the course is directly linked to the routine that has been consolidating at Ciseb. “The training directly dialogues with the work being developed at the Center for Innovation and Sustainability in Basic Education, which has already been consolidating as a strategic space for experimentation, ongoing training, and strengthening teaching practice. Investing in education and technology is a way to democratize access to knowledge, making schools even more important in their mission, which is to transform lives,” added Professor Rafael.
With a total workload of 80 hours, the course presents itself as a pilot project in the state of Pará. This first class includes the participation of teachers from ten state schools in the Regional Education Directorate (DRE) Belém 7. The course is expected to conclude in September 2025, when the educators will receive their certificates.
The in-person moment of the training, held this Thursday (29), was marked by a workshop on education and technology from the perspective of the school community, which allowed teachers to practically experience the concepts and methodologies worked on throughout the course. This workshop marks a moment of exchange, application, and strengthening of collaborative learning among the participants.
During the course, participants also develop an integrated activity, collectively elaborating a lesson plan using technology to be applied between June 1 and 15, followed by a report of experience, which will be part of the final evaluation.
The course methodology is dynamic and interactive, utilizing the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), with resources such as videos, forums, texts, podcasts, and multimedia.
