Human Rights Defenders Protection Program opens registrations for hubs

The Secretary of Racial Equality and Human Rights of Pará (Seirdh) opens positions in Santarém and Marabá for social technicians and administrative assistants

The Human Rights Defenders Protection Program (PPDDH), linked to the State Secretary of Racial Equality and Human Rights (Seirdh), through its executing entity, the Popular University Institute (Unipop), announced the opening of the notice for the selection process aimed at forming the team of decentralized hubs in Marabá and Santarém. Registrations can be made from this Monday (2) until June 13, 2025.

The selection process is intended for the hiring of higher-level social technicians and
mid-level administrative assistants. The selected professionals will work directly in the program, according to Cooperation Agreement No. 001/2024 signed between the Government of Pará, through Seirdh and Unipop.

To apply, it is necessary to send a resume, a letter of intent, and criminal background certificates, with the subject "Selection Process, with the name of the desired municipality", to the email [email protected].

VACANCIES

The notice includes six vacancies, distributed between Marabá (3) and Santarém (3). There will be two for social technicians, for professionals with higher education in law, psychology, social work, anthropology, or pedagogy; and one for an administrative assistant, with a high school education.

To participate, the selected professional must establish residence in the chosen municipalities. Those approved in the selection process will receive food assistance; transportation assistance; life insurance and health plan, with salaries of R$ 5,600.00 (social technician) and R$ 2,700.00 (administrative assistant).

Interested parties must have, among the requirements listed in the notices, availability for immediate hiring; a diploma, duly registered, of completion of higher or secondary education, depending on the position, issued by an educational institution recognized by the MEC; possess personal and professional aptitude to work in a multidisciplinary team; have experience in local, regional, and national articulation processes related to human rights, with an emphasis on the protection of human rights.

WORK REGIME

According to the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT), the workload will be 30 (thirty) hours per week for the social technician positions, and 40 (forty) hours per week for the Administrative Assistant position. The employment contract will last for 12 (twelve) months from the signing, and may be extended until the deadline of June 5, 2027.

The initiative represents an important step in strengthening the protection actions for human rights defenders, communicators, and environmentalists operating in the state. The selection process is an opportunity for engaged professionals who want to contribute to the protection and well-being of these defenders. The partnership between the Government of Pará and UNIPOP ensures effective management of the program and the selection of qualified professionals for work in decentralized hubs.
