The Metropolitan Emergency and Urgency Hospital (HMUE), a unit that belongs to the health network of the Government of Pará and is located in Ananindeua, has just received the seal "Management of Quality and Performance Indicators," awarded by the Brazilian Intensive Care Medicine Association (AMIB), with support from Epimed Solutions.

The certification attests that the Intensive Care Units (ICUs) of the Hospital operate following the best standards, in accordance with the Collegiate Board Resolution No. 7, from the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), dated February 24, 2010.

Jéssica Pinho, quality manager of HMUE, emphasizes that the certification also attests to "the commitment that the entire team has to save lives and, more than that, to ensure humanized assistance, respecting the individuality of each patient and ensuring the efficiency of the indicated treatment, which usually occurs over a long period."

"For us, it is complete happiness to have the knowledge and national proof that we are on the right path in maintaining the Metropolitan as a reference in caring for those in need," she said.

The recognition validates not only the technical excellence in care but also HMUE's alignment with the highest national public health standards, reinforcing its role as a reference institution in the state health network of Pará.

"This is undoubtedly a highlight of the work being carried out at the Hospital, in partnership with the Health Department of Pará. The AMIB seal attests to our adherence to the most rigorous Anvisa protocols, raising the standard of the SUS in Northern Brazil," says Clóvis Guse, medical director of HMUE.

Structure – A reference in the treatment of medium and high complexity, in trauma and burns, through the Unified Health System (SUS), HMUE has operational beds in the specialties of traumatology, general surgery, neurosurgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, plastic surgery (exclusive for burn victims), and ICU beds.

In 2024 alone, more than 600,000 services, including hospitalizations, surgeries, laboratory and imaging exams, multiprofessional care, and outpatient consultations, were offered to patients from the Metropolitan Region and different municipalities in Pará.
