Special live presents the Braztoa Sustainability Award 2025 to entrepreneurs from Pará
With registrations open until June 18, the 2025 edition highlights initiatives focused on the Amazon Region, which will receive additional points in the evaluation, in line with the COP 30 event in Brazil.

Entrepreneurs, managers, and professionals from the tourism sector in Pará participated in an exclusive live event held on Wednesday morning (4), promoted by the Brazilian Association of Tourism Operators (Braztoa), aimed at presenting the details of the 13th edition of the Braztoa Sustainability Award, which will be delivered in Belém in December this year. The initiative, broadcasted via Zoom, focused on expanding access to the award and encouraging the participation of Pará projects with a positive impact on tourism.
The meeting featured the participation of Braztoa's executive president, Marina Figueiredo, as well as the entity's specialists Danilo Dessotti and Rodrigo Ramos, in addition to Rayane Ruas from the SPRINT Dados consultancy. During the broadcast, participants could ask questions about the registration process, understand the evaluation criteria, learn about examples of good practices awarded in previous editions, and receive practical guidance to strengthen their applications.
“We want to ensure that everyone with a good initiative and who is already making a difference feels comfortable participating and well-guided. The live event is a moment of exchange, clarification, and connection with the purpose of the award,” emphasized Marina Figueiredo.

With registrations open until June 18, the 2025 edition of the Braztoa Sustainability Award highlights initiatives focused on the Amazon Region, which will receive additional points in the evaluation, in line with the COP 30 event in Brazil. Among the new features is the creation of the “Local Communities” category, aimed at projects led by indigenous peoples, riverside communities, quilombolas, and other traditional populations. The “Management/Governance” and “Experience/Product” categories also remain in this edition.
“Belém hosting the delivery of the Braztoa Sustainability Award is a recognition of the strength of Pará's tourism and our commitment to responsible, inclusive practices aligned with global sustainability challenges. It is a unique opportunity to project the Amazon as an international reference in conscious tourism, especially in the context of COP 30,” stated Eduardo Costa, Secretary of Tourism of Pará.

The evaluation will be conducted by a technical committee composed of national and international experts, based on eight sustainability criteria. The winners will be announced in December in Belém, reinforcing the prominence of the Amazon region in the sustainable tourism landscape.
