Patients at the Women's Hospital of Pará receive special kits on Valentine's Day
The hospital unit promotes care and self-esteem among patients with a gesture of love and empathy
On Valentine's Day, celebrated this Thursday (12), the Women's Hospital of Pará (HMPA) held a special action dedicated to the patients treated at the unit, bringing affection, care, and encouragement to self-esteem into the hospital environment. The initiative distributed kits with feminine items, such as personal hygiene products and small treats, symbolizing the affection and appreciation for the women of Pará.
The action was organized by the hospital's management, in partnership with care managers, who mobilized for the delivery of the kits. The goal was to transform the date, traditionally associated with romantic love, into an opportunity to demonstrate care and welcome to the women treated at the unit.
“We know that actions like this make all the difference. Our intention was to provide a moment of welcome, reminding each patient that she is special and not alone,” emphasized the hospital's general director, intensivist physician Nelma Machado.
The atmosphere in the unit was one of gratitude, with emotional reports on how small gestures impact the emotional well-being of women undergoing treatment or medical follow-up.
The HMPA management reinforced that this is just one of the many humanized actions promoted throughout the year, highlighting the hospital's commitment to comprehensive care for women. “Caring for health is also caring for dignity and self-esteem. This is a proposal from the government, which has been creating structures like this for the people of Pará. Today we took advantage of this space, made especially for women, to celebrate love in its most affectionate and human form,” added the unit's manager.
The initiative reaffirms the importance of humanization actions in the hospital environment, showing that even in moments of greatest vulnerability, it is possible to make a difference with simple gestures, but full of meaning.
